Vintage Fenwick Feralite FF605 6' Fly Rod with Tube
I believe this rod was manufactured in 1973. But given its age it is in excellent condition. It is a 6 ft rod that takes a 5wt line, and it weights a whopping 2 oz. The original tube is missing the snap cap, and I do not believe the sock is original. This rod is very clean with no issues. The cork is clean but has evidents that a reel has been used on it. All guides are tight and winding is secure. It goes together nice and tight. A very nice, very flexible rod for the traditional fly fisherman. Winner will pay shipping, I will pay to insure it. Due to health and work demands, a late 60's- early 70's Fenwick 7' 2.13 m) fiberglass spinning rod, Lunker Stik' Its second last guide at outer rod-end was damaged upon a glancing blow on the bark of an old tree. Professionally replaced! Well-crafted fiberglass fishing rods have more advantages than disadvantages over(modulus- graphite rods. Professional fisherman still use their forty-year-old fiberglass'Fenwicks' I've uploaded one individual FUJI 14 meg-pix of this and another such inclusive of one Fenwick 7' 2.13 m) Classic Glass' factory rod of 1975, and one custom, fiberglass 8' 3" 2.51 m) COHO spinning rod of 1975. Delineating these are twelve scanned images- two sided for lunk_1a. lunk_3b, and one- ... moresided for lunk_4a. lunk_5b, as the rod- diameters were too small for useful two-sided inspection and too numerous. The'405' is an 8' two piece with Aluminum Ferrules and Classic Thread and Foil Wrappings. The Early Aetna guides are in Excellent Minus to Excellent Condition only showing some'Brassing' which further attests to the Quality of components used. Long Two Piece Cork measuring 21 Inches and intended for two handed casting and boat holder mounts. Very little detail is available in that few of these rods are still around and when found. In pretty sad shape. Although there are no line ... morespecs it's reasonable to make an educated guess that one would be safe based on the style Reel Seat and Double Cork Grip that any quality 4 Pound to 15 Pound Test would work well. A lthough this is a Great rod to Cast. For you guys that like to kick back and let the rod do the work, it's a Perfect'Still' Fishing/ Boat or Bank Rod. Great Tip action that will allow the most weary of fish to mouth your bait and when sure it's'OK' will try to run with it, while the rod is doing almost Everything aside from Cleaning The Fish! Offered for sale is a vintage Fenwick FS 88 spinning rod. This is a large 2 piece spinning rod for steelhead& slamon fishing and light offshore saltwater fishing. The rod is marked FENWICK L127795(1973-74 year made) FS88 8 1/2 ft. 8 1/2 oz weight and 5/8- 1 1/2 oz lures and 10-25 lb line. The rod comes complete with the original rod tube and red rod sock-the top of the rod tube is missing. The rod is in Great condition. Shiny finish and only the cork shows some light soiling from previous use. 100% original with no repairs.
