Vintage 1968 Fenwick FS86 Salmon Rod W/ Factory Tube & Plaid Sleeve Ser# I 47797
This is a used Fenwick rod. FS86. Marked on the rod" FS86, 8&1/2' 9&1/4oz. 5/8-1&1/2oz. Lures, 8-20 lb. Line" This is an early rod& is in very good condition. Never abused. It can be used for saltwater or freshwater. Trolling, mooching, casting or whatever you would like. These are excellent rods used for many different purposes. I am going to describe it in detail. This is a 1968 vintage rod. The rod itself is in excellent shape, the eyes need attention. It has 7 eyes, Starting at the tip the tip eye is in fine condition, original& looks like it's bronze. The other 6 eyes are original plain plated metal, no liners or inserts. Second eye down is original, slight oxidation on the struts that hold the eye, original wrapping. Third eye down needs to be replaced as it is oxidized& the bottom half of ring ... moreis missing(see photo) Fourth eye down is missing the ring entirely& needs to be replaced(see photo) Fifth eye down is fine, original wrapping. Sixth& seventh eyes appear to be replaced& rewrapped, they are well done& in excellent condition. Cork handle is very, very nice& reel seat is fine. This is an excellent rod& is in very nice condition. It needs 2 eyes replaced to use or if you are a purist you could replace all the eyes with state of the art hardware. These early Fenwicks are excellent rods& this one is in very nice condition with the exception of the 2 eyes that need to be replaced. Rod comes in it's original Fenwick factory tube(excellent condition) with label marked Model FS86& the original green/yellow/black plaid sleeve(which has a 1" hole in the seam in the bottom, needs to be resewn) A very nice package& I would like to see it go to someone who will use it. It will be shipped USPS Priority in the factory tube. If you require the tube in a cardboard shipping box then the shipping will be slightly higher. Thank you!

This is a custom made Fenwick 8' 2 piece light action spinning rod with Feralite ferrules. The only label on the rod says Fenwick Blank Made in USA. The amber blank color makes me think this must have been a factory custom order since the blanks Fenwick sold to customers were yellow colored with a model number in my experience. Custom rods were also made on request by Fenwick in the 1960s and 70s. Bottom line is this is a beautiful vintage Fenwick rod in excellent condition that appears unused. No tube or sock. Vintage Fenwick FS70-4 Feralite 4 Piece Pack Rod w/Original Tube
For your consideration is a Vintage Fenwick FS70-4 Feralite 4 piece pack rod with its original tube. The spinning rod has serial number G110131 dating it to 1966/67. The rod measures 7’ long. Weighs 4 3/4 oz. is rated for 1/4- 1/2 oz. lures, 3-8 lb. line. All of the eyelet wraps& tip are in place, and the decals are all there with minimal signs of wear. The cork handles are intact and in nice condition with minimal discoloration. I'm not sure how much, if at all, the rod has been fished as I obtained it from the estate of the original owner. The aluminum tube has the original label attached that reads"Fenwick.Model No. FS70-4.7 FT. The label is intact with wear, but completely readable. The tube has scratches, scuffs, and a small dent. This was my grand fathers rod. original purchased in the early 60's.It is in excellent shape but does have a few minor nicks and scratches from normal use.It is a 2 pc fly rod with flannel sock and aluminum tube.The chain on the cap for tube is broken.But looks like it could be repaired. This auction is for a vintage 1970’s Fenwick Feralite FF605 Fly Rod with Original Tube and Sock in near mint condition. The fly rod specifications are as follows: 6' in length. 2 sections, AFTMA fly line No. 5, weight 2 1/8 oz. cork grip, down locking reel seat, has original butt cap with Fenwick Eagle logo, nice hook keeper eyelet and decal serial number R114875. Cosmetically, all decals are in near perfect condition, all line guides, stripping guide and hook keeper eyelets complete and wraps tight, cork handle has normal discoloration from age, real seat looks great with minimal marks while the rod tube still retains the original Fenwick Decal although missing some edging but all info is complete and FF605 paper label on lid and appears to have been replaced and not original. After taking the pics I noticed the tube needed cleaning I have added a pic of the cleaned tube. I have had this rod since new mid 1980s. The picks show the care that has been given. I could find no damage anywhere on this rod. This rod is marked“Eagle” E90-8F as the model but. In 1985 this rod cost $129.00 a much better rod blank than today’s Fenwick Eagle’s. Made in USA. I would rate this rod as mid to tip Flex action 8wt. This rod is a 2 piece 9ft and measures 55 1/2” broken down. The aluminum tube measures 57” long with cap. Nice black blank with forest green and gold wraps. Total weight is 3 3/8 oz. Very light for an 8wt. This rod has the backbone to get the flies out there. For Bass. Salmon ... moreand saltwater. FOR PARTS....Fenwick, abu garcia and Cabelas rods
This listing is for 5 damaged rods. One of which can be fished with. The cabelas trolling rod is fine. It is a 7.6 ft depth master rod.med action.12-20 mono. This rod was the first rod that I shrink tubed the handle and the reel seat got a little too hot. See pic. This doesn't effect the rod at all. I had a 6500 reel on it and could still get it on and off. The other 4 rods are 2 fenwick and 2 abu garcia rods. Rare Fenwick HMG GFS-70 1st Generation Graphite Spinning Rod
0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false Up for sale is a very rare Fenwick HMG GFS-70 1st Generation Graphite Spinning Rod made in the USA. The hand applied serial number(not a decal) on the rod reads"HMG 24.523" which I believe is also the production number. This model was the first production graphite spinning rod sold in the U.S. introduced by Fenwick in 1975. It is identified by the gray/green tinted blank and the gray guide wraps with light green/chartreuse accents. These early graphite blanks were smaller in diameter and 23% lighter than their FS-70 fiberglass counterparts(3 7/8 oz. vs. 5 oz. Yet they were just as strong(if not stronger) and just as flexible. Everything is original including the Fenwick green rod sock and the black aluminum tube with the rod identification label still intact. The rod also features a double ... moredown locking aluminum reel seat and the early Fenwick wire spiral guide set. I personally have never seen one of these"on the market" especially with the spiral guides and the original aluminum tube. Exceptions: One of the tip top strut supports is very slightly bent when viewed from the side and some of the gold lettering above the fore grip has been worn away from normal usage. There is also some cork loss on the fore grip. These exceptions can be clearly seen in the photos. The aluminum tube/rod case has some scratches from storage and transportation.
