Hi folks. Up for sale here is a vintage Fenwick Voyageur fishing fly rod. Model FF-756-4. It is 7-1/2 feet long and weighs 3-1/4 oz. It is a four-piece rod and there are nine eyelets for the fishing line. The first section of the four is also numbered L133352 by the manufacturer.This rod was given as a gift years ago to my late father-in-law, but judging by its condition he may never have used it. If you know about these you understand how special they are and how unusual it is to find one in this condition. There are no marks in the cork from where a fly reel would have been attached, no scratches anywhere, and overall the rod is in absolutely stunning condition. The pouch with drawstrings is included. Here we have a Vintage Fenwick Model FF756 7 1/2’ fiberglass fly rod for line weight 6. It's a two-piece brown fiberglass rod weighing 3 1/4 oz. With Feralite ferrules. Has the'L' date code which is around 1973-74. The guides are wrapped in brown with white trim. The rod is in excellent condition. Seems like it was never used. Rare short length glass rod at only 3 1/4 oz in weight. Also appears that a reel has never been installed! All original condition with a bright finish and clean cork. Very straight and tight. No corrosion. All ferrules straight. Appears that none have ever been bent. It's ready for fishing! Comes with the original bag and hard tube container. This auction is for a vintage Custom Made Fenwick 6’ Model CA623 Bait Cast Fishing Rod with Fenwick Cork Handled Pistol Grip in excellent shape. The 3-piece rod features yellow glass with purple and yellow wraps that are all tight. The rod nomenclature is hand scripted and reads 6’ Fast 3/8 to 7/8 oz Lures Custom Made For Steve Romick by The Grillos, the cork grip has the Fenwick logo engraved on the reel seat and has the original Fenwick butt cap. The only imperfections are is a small piece of cork missing on the grip, the butt cap has some wear on the end and the purple wrap adjacent to the female ferrule on the butt end has lost a small section of thread(see pics) This is a neat looking early Fenwick that would make a nice collectible and a great rod to do some stream or lake fishing. The tip section has been broken into 2 pieces and an unsuccessful repair attempted. The butt section is still in good condition with foam grips. A nice Fenwick metal reel seat and a nice, lined first guide. The ferrule still fits tight. Replace the tip section and this would make a nice rod or it could be taken apart and used as parts. I purchased this rod on 3/16 for $123.51 on eBay. Then bought the reel on eBay for $14 in May. I love the feel of the rod but it was too lightweight for the fish I was catching in Manitoba. The guy I bought the rod from said the rod was never used and he was correct. I did use it for about 50 or so casts. When trying to hook 4-5 lb fish. The rod seemed to light to set the hook. It's truly for ultra light fishing which is what it's advertised to do. Made in the USA. Reel is made in Japan. A great combination. Please ask questions. SCOTLAND, c1812. George Fenwick was a Scottish silversmith whose mark can be found in partnership with George McHattie[MF] from ~ 1799 to 1807 and under his own[GF] mark between ~1806-1823. This tea set is all sterling silver including handles and finial and is made in a fine form. Each piece is decorated with a wide gadrooned rim appointed with shell and foliate medallions in the ... morefour quadrants. A fifth on the teapot handle, and are supported by four ball feet. The creamer and sugar have gilded interiors and all three pieces are fitted with generous handles. The overall condition of the tea set is excellent. The teapot is well-seasoned; it has a few small/minor dints around the waist. Typical for a piece of this age. Vintage Fenwick World Class Fly Rod
You are bidding on an 8' 4" Fenwick"World Class" 6 wt fly rod. I originally built this rod from a 9' blank. The odd length is because before wrapping the rod I taped guides on the blank and tried casting as I changed the grip position searching for the most pleasing spot for my casting style. Once this was determined I cut the 8" from the butt and went ahead with the project. The rod features a full wells grip and a unique uplocking mesquite reel seat. All in all it is a sweet rod with what would be called a moderate action. Rod sock and aluminum tube are included.
