Rod is used as cork is dirty and real seat has minor marks from reel. Guides. Decals, wraps all as nice as rod is absolutely straight. Is a dandy for sure. Naugahyde bag and brown Fenwick case were protecting rod and not original to rod. Serial# B 15774 dates rod to 1961/62 only so very short run. Real seat is not marked Fenwick like later models. Mylar under wraps very cool all perfect. Rod is translucent changes in sun. Very beautiful 3 1/2 oz rod. Cork should easily clean with something like a simple green. For sale is a vintage Fenwick spin rod that has lived on the north Umpqua River in Oregon. It was the perfect rod for the legendary summer steelhead found here in Oregon. This is a lightly used rod with some typical signs of age and wear. As seen in photos the epoxy past guide is cracked. Yet the wraps are tight. I believe this is only cosmetic and not structural. The label is still on the cork! The cloth sock for the rod is missing, Sorry. The case is chipped on the back end and the latch is barely there. I have a Fenwick Lunker Stix. Model# PLS72 7" 6.5 oz- 5-1oz lure- 8-15lb line. Excellent Shape in original hard case with dust cover. I am not and expert but this pole looks as if it was never used. 5 VINTAGE 1 PIECE HEAVY ACTION MUSKY FISHING RODS. FENWICK, BROWNING, ST CROIX
For your consideration I am listing five vintage one piece heavy action fishing rods that were used for musky fishing on Northern Wisconsin lakes. These are used rods but they are still very much usable. They have all their original eyelets and eyelet wrappings. The handles are in good condition. The Fenwick rod has a repair but all the others are in original condition with minor wear from use. I will describe them as follows: A Fenwick 6'0" heavy action rod. This rod has a splinter repair. The splinter was glued back in place with Gorrila Glue and the entire section was professionally wrapped with three layers of high tensile line. You can see the repair in the last photo. It really looks pretty nice. I gaurantee the rod will not break in the area of the splinter. 1 year warranty.
