This classic Fenwick model FS90 9' Feralite is in great condition. It is rated for 8-20# line and 3/8-1oz. The serial# is: L 198839. I am a rod builder. And I inspected this classic rod from butt to tip top. It is ready to fish. It needs nothing. It is a good clean rod that is ready for action. The guides and wraps are in good shape and the cork looks great for a rod of this age.

Selling a vintage Fenwick Lunker Stix spinning rod in very good condition. This is a PLS66 6 1/2ft 6 1/4 oz rod rated for 1/2 to 1 oz lures and 8-15 lb lines. I will include the red nylon rod sock and ship it in the brown triangle case which is in poor shape since I used it to carry the rod with a reel attached. All the wrappings and eyelets are the original ones.

It measures 6'6" Weighs in at 4 1/4 ounces, is balanced to best handle 1/4 to 5/8 oz. lures and 6- 12 lb. test line. The serial number on this rod reads 60,494(please refer to photos) The package includes the original cloth rod sack and a pro-style aluminum rod tube to afford this quality rod the protection it should get, to and from the water(again refer to photos) This is one of the first and finest graphite rods introduced to fishermen in the sport-fishing market back in the 70's. At that time this was considered a high-end rod for the majority of fishermen out there. A little history: With the arrival of the 70's this exciting new material caught the attention and imagination of rod ... moredesigners everywhere. The amazing material was not only lighter and stronger than fiberglass. It was stiffer as well. This new material was graphite. In 1973 Fenwick became the first manufacturer to introduce an all graphite fishing rod. The now world famous HMG. It stood for High Modulus Graphite; the material that forever changed the strength. The rare“I” serial numbered fly rod specifications are as follows: 7 1/2' in length. 2 sections, line weight 5-6, weight 3 1/4 oz. cork grip, down locking reel seat engraved with Fenwick Eagle logo, hook keeper eyelet and serial number I 13162. Cosmetically, all decals are in near perfect condition, all line guides, stripping guide and hook keeper eyelets complete and wraps tight, the rod appears to have been fished only a few times due to the condition of the glass, cork handle, real seat and guides while the rod tube still retains the original Fenwick paper label, is complete and is in excellent shape. The early cloth sock is not the original for this rod but is in wonderful ... moreshape with bottom and top ties. Note: the rod appears to have been repaired on the tippet section for there is a double ended female ferrule glued and wrapped into glass approximately 10” down from tiptop line guide. Beautiful Fenwick Feralite FF85 fly rod.AFTMA No 8 line.1969-1970 serial number J17734. No issues and perfect condition. The plastic tube has a 1"x3/8" chunk missing midway on a corner.Is cracked with hairlines extending from that point and it does compromise the integrity of the tube. The hinge for the cap is broken.But the cap snaps tightly to the tube.There is no sock. The rod and tube will be well wrapped to ship and secure in a pvc tube.

It does have light finish wear from use and some bubbling of the chrome on the reel seat. According to several sites on the internet the M in front of the serial number dates it to 1974-75. It comes with a Fenwick rod tube though maybe not the original one. The tube is in good shape but the cap for it has broken tabs. Any questions just let me know. They were originally manufactured by Yo-Zuri under contract by Fenwick. When Fenwick was bought out by Berkley. The"Methods" line was changed to"Frantic Action Lures" with different packaging. In 1997 Berkley completely discontinued the lure line, most likely because of the growing popularity of the Yo-Zuri style and the relatively high cost of the"Methods" line. These baits retailed for $7.99 during production years and were among the first of the"Japanese" style lures that continued to gain popularity. Up for bid is a very nice Fenwick ff756-4. It's a 71/2ft. 4 piece rod, 31/2oz, 6wt. Has all 4 ferrule plugs, good threading, spotless reel seat, great cork handle, all lettering is perfect. 2 Vintage Fenwick Glass Rods ~ FS-75 & FS-80
You are bidding on a pair of vintage Fenwick rods: model FS-75 and FS-80. These are two piece rods. For fresh water or light salt water use. The FS-75 is two piece. 7 ½ feet long, made of fiberglass. Features include a hard rubber butt cap. Cork handle, anodized brown aluminum reel seat with double down-locking nuts, cork foregrip, 6 chrome full-flex wire guides, and a hard carbide tip-top. All glass feralite ferrule. On the rod. The decal says 51/2 ounces, 1/4 to 1/2 ounce lures, 4-10 lb. line, serial number K 209747. MADE IN THE USA. This is an ugly rod– the cork is rubbed raw. Seat is very worn, finish on the butt section is splotchy, and I had to partially rewrap two guides. Most of the ugly is on the butt section– the tip section is fairly nice. The FS-80 is two piece. 8 feet long, made of fiberglass. Features include a hard rubber ... morebutt cap. Cork handle, anodized brown aluminum reel seat with double down-locking nuts, cork foregrip, 6 chrome guides, and a hard carbide tip-top. All glass feralite ferrule. On the rod. The decal says 7 7/8 ounces, 3/8 to 3/4 ounce lures, serial number F 19749. MADE IN THE USA. One guide has been partially rewrapped.
