1940's Box of 3,000 HALL'S BLACK PRINCESS Fishing Labels. Silk Casting Line.
Box is 8 1/4" X 4 1/4" and 3" deep. Box still in pretty decent condition. Just recently opened is this group of 3.000"HALL'S Waterproofed/ BLACK PRINCESS/ Silk Casting Line/ Test 18 Lbs. 50 yds/ Pure Silk" picture of a fisherman casting. A Bass up there on the top left. Very attractive label with a silvery finish. This was a premium line of Halls. I never removed all the newspaper packing that is under the lines, but it's at least from the 1940's. Henry Hall Sons Co. was one of the earliest fishing line makers in the U.S.A.
