Hatch 5+ Fly Fishing Reel and Rod and Gear
I thought fly fishing was going to be my new hobbie. But as it turns out I didn't make time for it. I did make time to do a ton of research and ended up buying the best equipment money can buy. This entire set up has only seen the light of day once, and beside that it has been kept in an air conditioned closet. Everything in this listing is new or used only once. I need the money, so my loss is your gain. What you are bidding on is: Hatch 5 plus Monsoon Fly Reel(Silver and Green in color) I paid $500 dollars for it a year ago. 5 plus means it can be used for 5-7 weight line and rod. It comes fully loaded with 7 weight Sceintific angler weight forward line and is rigged up using the salt water fly fishing system shown on Danscustomflys.com most the the 20 flys that come with this set up where made by him as well. I payed $80 for the fly ... moreline/backer and had it profesionally rigged up. I had the fly rod custom made. It is 9' piece 7 weight custom made by Ed Mc Shea. I payed $180 dollars for it and I have a list of every part used on it and the blank itself is still under warantee. It comes with a custom made blue jean bag as well. It will be shipped in PVC tubing. The 20 flys are all different styles(which average out to be over $5.00 each) 16 of which are salt water flys and 4 are fresh water. Most the salt water flys are made my Dans custom flys and have stainless steel hooks and epoxy resin over the body of the fly so they are made to last. For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this mid 1970s vintage rod. It is a 2 piece 8 foot 6 weight fly fishing rod made by Wright McGill Eagle Claw and marked made in USA. It has the eagle logo on the rod and the Eagle Claw medallion on the grip. It is the dark blue graphite construction that the Blue Diamond series is known for.just gorgeous. We dont have the original rod sack but we do have the original tube and that is included. Condition is minty.no damage.no repairs. The seat, eyes and wraps are great.the cork of the grip is perfect. When assembled the rod is its original full length. The end of the tube opposite the cap is intact but badly cracked and there is a significant dent partway down the tube but the tube is certainly usable. We do ship worldwide but with this length we can only ship this rod to a few countries because of length ... morerestrictions imposed by their post office. VINTAGE ROCKY MOUNTAIN SPECIAL SPLIT BAMBOO ROD 8' FLY FISHING ROD ANTIQUE POLE
This auction is for a used ROCKY MOUNTAIN SPECIAL fly rod as pictured. I understand this was a special built and made pole. Please double check. I do make mistakes. This is in decent shape for the year. I do see one eye missing as in the picture. It appears as maybe the last few inches of the tip may be broken off and missing where the eye was supposed to go. Other then that it does appear to be complete, but please check the pictures. I am not really familiar with these old poles and there are NO GUARANTEES OR RETURNS. There is some normal aging on this, but overall I feel it is in decent shape for the year. The 3rd section of the pole is slightly bowed or bent as pictured also. It also includes the case as shown. This measures just under 8' right around 7' but that is because the end is broken as pictured. I understand it is originally ... morea 8' rod. Antique Vintage Ebisu Bamboo Fly Fishing Rod 2 lengths in one
This split bamboo fishing pole is pre WWII and is owned by our uncle who is in his 70's and was given to him by his father. It has not been used since he got it but has been stored. The pole has two different configurations. It has a tip for the formation of a 5 1/2 foot pole and two other pieces. A middle and tip, that forms an 8 1/2 foot pole. It can be configured for a spin cast or fly rod. It also has a spare tip for the longer pole. Please look at all photos as I am not a fisherman. Unfortunately we do not have the box. Here is little history on where the name Ebisu came from FYI. In Japanese mythology. Ebisu is one of the seven Gods of Fortune, said to be the god of fishermen, workingmen, and good luck. He is also the guardian of the health of children. According to legend he was born with no bones(or no arms and legs) and was cast ... moreinto the sea before the age of three. When he eventually washed ashore he was cared for by Ainu Ebisu Saburo. By three years of age he had regrown his skeleton(or limbs) and become the god Ebisu.
