The basket is primarily wicker with leather trim and a canvas shoulder strap. The shoulder strap does not connect to one side, bit is present. The leather does have some dark marks and is cracked in several places. Please check out the photos. The buckle over the top will not hold since leather can been cut short. The top wants to stay open but I think can be trained to stay closed again. The handle has significant wear and the leather has worn off in spots. Up for auction is this beautiful Gulf Queen 44 fly fishing reel. It is in absolutely great condition for its age with very few(and tiny) scuffs or scratches but you judge for yourself from the pictures. My father-in-law used it a couple times and then put it in a box and shelved it for thirty + years. I don’t know much of anything on the history of these reels or the manufacturer– I must leave that to you experts out there. This listing is for: an antique fishing rod by South Bend. Model#359. 9 inch long bamboo rod with the original carrying case. This is a#59- 9 which is 9 feet in length. I am not an expert so I'm unable to tell w hat needs re pairs or to comment on the condition. I was told that the tip is missing from it so please use the photos to get the best information about this piece. All of the guides appear to be in tact and appear to me to be original. I am not expert enough to tell if the rod has been restored. But I don't think so. The cork grip is dirty and I did not try to clean it. As shown this is a HUMPHREYS DENVER MODEL 3A fly reel. This is in great shape this is stainless steel has some rub marks on it. I am not familiar with fly reels but this has line in it and reels it fine by pushing a thumb button. This does not have any kind of anti reverse button but I am guessing that is not used on these type of reels. Everything seems good reels in good just some rub marks and light scratches are about all there is to tell.

Don't let this combo get away! Up for bid is this Vintage Combo Daiwa Fly Pole and Shakespeare Silent Tru-Art Automatic Reel(Bottom states; NO. 1837 and below that Model GE or QE. These are in perfect working order and you would have to see them up close in order to appreciate their condition! On the pole the eyes. Ties, threading, pole and coloring are NOT Faded, the anodized threading below shows NO signs of wear! As you can see even the cork handle is in amazing condtion. The only slight flaws I can find is the original lettering is scrapped off in some areas, looks like it was created from storage more than wear as you just don't see signs of wear on this pole.
