This reel was made in Japan and Serial no is stamped 019959. I've read where later on in the manufacturers history these reels were Swiss made and those had some issues. This reel has always performed flawlessly for me. It has the normal scratches on the outside and comes with the Rio WF4F line you see here in the pic's. I have this lot of vintage fishing stuff up for auction. The contents and condition is as follows: 2- Rotary Bait boxes that you wear on your belt. Both are in good working conditon. One has the BOB BET BAIT BOX label on it but the other box is missing the label. Only one small dent in the label but no other dents on either box. A few scratches from normal use. The box with the label is very nice for it's age. 4- Vintage jig sticks. These have been around a long time and have a great patina to them. 10- Vintage fishing lures or various brands. It has some light marking to the reel seat wood from putting reels on it(see pics) I have lawn cast this a few times but have not fished it. Really nice all around fly rod and great for travel with the 5 piece configuration. Comes with original sock and tube. Very well cared for. Edit- Just a note- In the pics the grip looks more discolored from handling than it really is. I just noticed it looks darker than it is in the photos. This SLT like the other two I am selling has been stored away in the tube for at least 3 years and as noted above I only lawn cast it before that. For several years I have only fished bamboo. We found this fishing fly on a recent trip to our camp in the Western Mountains of Maine- prime fishing grounds; The Rapid River. Rangeley Lake, The Richardson Lakes, Magallaway, The Androscoggin River and more. It is a vintage Colonel Bates salmon streamer fly, but we are unsure just how old, and still in its original packaging and sealed. Most of them are not identifiable by me except the pole all the way to the right which is a Heddon and is the only one that is NOT bamboo and the one all the way to the left which is marked"Crown" The boxes and bags are empty. I think the box. Which has some fitted places to rest pole parts is for the Crown and the one bag is marked Heddon. Otherwise I have grouped them into like pieces. Peak Rotary Fly tying Vise Fishing Orvis Simms Renzetti
Peak Rotary Vice for Fly Tying in great condition. I did have the pin that holds the clamp lever in place come out and I replaced it with a heavier duty one. I also added a hook magnet to the flat base to keep hooks in place when tying several flies. I probably tied 500 flies on this vice from#18 dries to 3/0 streamers and jointed streamers. It has been an excelent vice only about a year old. Purchased new January 2012. Only selling to use money for higher priority life expenses.
