Bauer M4 fly reel with new upgraded 4 roller clutch - includes case
This is a Bauer M4 reel that is in great condition. I have had this as a backup to two other M4's when I went on overseas fishing trips. I have used this reel a few times and there are a couple of small marks on the edge of the frame. In direct light. And at certain angles you will also notice very light line marks on the face. The spool has no marks of any kind and looks like it did the day I bought it. I sent this reel to Bauer for the upgrade to the 4 roller clutch last year and have not used the reel since that time. What you are getting is a reel that has only been used a few times and then had the new clutch assembly etc. installed. The original pouch is included. It has faded some over the years. You are bidding on a Vintage Carpenter& Casey 2 3/4" fly reel in absolutely pristine condition. This is reel#33 of what we've learned was a very limited production. The maker was Walt Carpenter. The famous bamboo rod maker. The reel comes with a spare spool(the spare spool has trout floating line on it but appears never to have been used or ever got wet) spare internal parts, with an S shaped handle, smooth foot and a fleece lined case to accomodate the reel and spare spool, and permanent click drag. Truly a collector's dream as the Carpenter name is among the most sought after of the custom bamboo rods and reels. Vintage Hardy Duplicated Mark II "Perfect" Fly Reel, handle needs work
Up for your consideration is a vintage Hardy Duplicated Mark II Fly Reel as shown. The plastic handle on this is old and significantly worn as shown in photo 5. The reel makes a nice clicking noise when its turned but the handle seems to tighten up and lock up when you turn it. If you reverse direction. The handle feels like its loosening up. Lenz Machine works fly/trolling reel
Proto type fly/trolling reel for salt water. This reel has no manufacture name on it but it is identical to another reel we have that lists the manufacturer as Lenz Machine Works of Seattle. WA. Our research indicates this reel was most likely manufactured prior to 1964 in Seattle. There was one sold on EBay in November 2010 but we could find no other information on it. You can see through the handle window where the lubrication oil is stored. The inside of the reel indicates some salt water corrosion. It's different and unique and locally made. Would look good on someone's mantle. Will be shipped in a medium priority USPS flat rate box for ease in shipping and tracking. No international sales.
