Vintage 2 Piece Apache Fly Rod By Berkley 775N 8'-0" Nice!! No Reserve!!!
This is a vintage Apache fly rod by Berkley. It's in nice condition exept the male ferrel appears to be stuck inside the female ferrel and will need to be removed and reglued to the bottom half of the rod. I can't see the ferrel inside there but the rod fits together snug as it is but needs to be repaired to make sure it stays attached while casting. Otherwise no other issues. All line guides are in tact and the ties are nice and tight. See the pictures. I have many more lures as well as fishing items so be sure and check my other listings. MADE BY Wes Jordan 7 1/2' models were only sold 3 years: 1969.70,71(retired) According to the catalogs of the period Wes Jordan"worked and inspected" this model. He in fact earned a commission on every Wes Jordan rod sold and his pride and expertise ensured that he spent his time on these(more than average rod) This rod is from 1970. Overall VG shape with only notable flaw being a tiny hook dig on one tip. It literally looks to be mostly the bakelite that is affected. The close up photo shows entire image enlarged. Many people probably would not even notice this flaw unless it was pointed out. Hook dig located between 3rd and 4th guide from ferrule(see last photo) I've relisted this rod with much lower cost(it was purchased BIN for $950, and after I noticed the flaw I let buyer know before I shipped, and we agreed to cancel ... moretransaction. Offered only between 1939 and 1943, was Heddon's highest grade rod until the 1939 introduction of the Heddon#1000 Rod of Rods. Although it wants to twist off the ridge on the barrel when you are closing it(the butt cap might be a bit out of round) Also, the screw nut is missing so the cap will unscrew all the way off. Vintage Post WWII Sakurai/Sakura Split Bamboo Fly/Cast Fishing Rod Kit
This auction is for a vintage five piece Post WWII Sakurai split bamboo fly and casting rod combination kit with wooden storage box. It is in very good original condition. The kit includes the rod. A genuine silk plaited line, and other random accessories(all shown in the photographs) The wooden box includes an internal storage area to store additional accessories. There is a Sakura decal on the handle and on the wooden box. The rod can be assembled into a three piece 8’ fly rod or a two piece 5.6’ casting rod. Four sections measure 33” and one tip section is 27 ½” The 6 ¾” cork handle is in great condition. There are two snake eye guides on the fly rod mid section and three on one tip section and two on the second. The casting tip section has two guides. There is a stripper guide and hook keeper on the bottom section. The 33” tip ... moresection is not original to the rod but fits perfectly. All of the sections have the distinct“pop” sound when pulled apart. The male ferrule when inserted into the casting end of the reel seat does not slide in completely but it is a secure fit. There is a slight set which will not affect the casting of the rod. The wooden storage box is slightly weathered. And one of the hinges is loose. The honey-colored cane and varnish finish are excellent. The casting action is awesome and this classic wand would be right at home on creeks, streams, and lakes. It will also make a great display.

Classic Browning Model 222975 Silaflex 7 1/2' Fiberglass Fly Fishing Rod 2/1
This two piece 7 1/2' fiberglass fly rod is in excellent condition. No indication that it has ever been fished. There are no marks on the anodized aluminum reel seat. No wear on the ferrule. I am told that this was made soon after the Browning acquisition using Silaflex-made blanks. The reel seat is stamped with serial number 443159. This comes with the original bag and brown painted aluminum tube. A super quality rod for the fiberglass collector.

This auction is for the bamboo fly rods that are mostly not complete rods and require some repair as shown and described. The knives in the photo are NOT PART OF THE AUCTION. They are only in the photo to separate the individual rods for individual identification of the 6 various rods shown. All of these rods have the cork stained, some may have a guide or two missing or need rewrapping and all should be refinished to really make them nice. Also, when I describe the reel seat for these rods, if I say they are nice, that means they work but could still need a little cleaning. I will describe the rods from the top rod in the photo to the bottom. First Rod(top rod in photo) has three pieces with the tip being broken. The butt and mid sections are both 36 and 3/4 inches long and the tip is only 21 and 3/4 inches long. Actually, the finish on ... morethis rod is very nice but does need to have the butt guide rewrapped and it is missing one of the guides on the mid piece. All ferrules are nice and fit together. The reel seat is also nice on this rod. The only identification that I can find is that it says BONNEVILLE on the butt section. The second rod(first one down from top) has only two pieces that are both 37 inches long. The butt of this rod says SOUTH BEND QUALITY TACKLE BAIT COMPANY. The ferrules are nice but the mid section is missing the male ferrule on the bottom end. Reel seat is nice. The third rod(second one down from top) also has only two pieces. The butt is 37 and 1/8 inches long and the mid section is 36 and 7/8 inches long. The cork has a small amount of pitting. The ferrules are nice and fit together and the reel seat is nice as well. It say HIAWATHA on the butt section of this rod. The fourth rod(third one down from top) has three pieces with the tip section being broke. The butt and mid section of this rod measures 38 and 3/4 inches and the tip section measures only 33 and5/8 inches and is missing the tip guide. Classic Garcia Conolon 8 1/2' Royal Javelin Custom Fiberglass Fly Rod 2/1
The color of the wraps on this rod indicate that it was made by Garcia after the Conolon acquisition circa 1961-63. This rod is very good plus. The only flaw I can find is a break in the overwrap on the female ferrule-see pictures. This is an 8 1/2 foot 7-8 weight bass taper. These were custom built fiberglass rods with an unusual staggered ferrule configuration. The reel seat has a black plastic spacer and gold anodized aluminum fdittings. It is interesting that I can find no mention of Garcia or Conolon on this rod. It has the Royal Javelin decal and"Genuine Carballoy Tip-top" in black script. Another great rod for the fiberglass collector.

A little TLC will bring it up to great shape. 3 hinges and 2 snaps on box are all in good shape. A couple of the original items are still in packages. The sliding inside covers are in good shape. I have had this since the mid 1950's. Box measures approx. 39" long. 3 1/2" wide, and 2 3/4" with the lid closed. A small compartment on the one side with with 2 sliding section covers. Here is a vintage St.Croix fly rod. The rod is two piece fiberglass. It is marked 9000 XL 7'8" D HDH The rod appears to have been fished but is in very nice condition and was not used much. It comes in a sock which is unmarked but I believe is original to the fly rod. I do not believe the metal tube to have came with the rod but it sure has done a nice job protecting the rod over the years. The tube will also assure the rod arrives safely when shipped. St. Croix Fly Rod/Prestige III Reel
Very nice vintage St.Croix two piece fly rod w/ hard tube. The rod is 8' ultra light in great shape except the wrap around one eyelet came loose and I selfwrapped it to keep it in place. The wrap doesn't affect the performance of the rod at all. I still fished with it. I mainly used this set up for flyfishing walleye. The reel is a Cabelas Prestige III I bought about 10 years ago. I used it in Alaska for Salmon. The reel is a 7/8 weight. This combination worked great for throwing pike flies. Thanks

There is a South Bend decal and I would say this is a model 357 or 359 based on the taper of the rod. The bottom section measures 34 ½” Mid is 32 ½” and tip section is 28 ¼” This was originally an 8 1/2’ rod. I would estimate the fly line weight at a solid four or five. The 6” cork handle is fully functional. I repaired a small chip with wood filler. The reel seat is missing the end cap. There are no snake eye guides on the rod. The sections fit together perfectly. There is a slight natural set in the tip section. I meticulously stripped the old varnish. Early 1960's rod. The"Deluxe" model. Impregnated 7' HDH line specified, casts a DT4 or WF5 with accuracy and authority. Two matching tips, ferrules still nice and tight, produce that lovely"pop" when disassembled. Was recently re-handled by famous rod builder Marc Aroner, as the original cork and rings were deteriorating. Cap and ring are custom turned and blued nickel silver. Only other change he made was to use a slightly larger stripper guide more suitable to modern lines. Ferrules and tips are completely original and straight, bag and case are original. Vintage 7'6" Phillipson 3M Swamp Fox fiberglass Fly Rod 6 weight
For auction is a vintage 2 piece 7' 6" fiberglass fly rod made by Phillipson. Both pieces are the same length and straight. The labeling for the line and rod weight are worn out. With only the"6 line being legible. When I look at it now, the case could be made that it says#5 instead of 6. It does throw a 5 or a 6 weight line comfortably, I used it for both. A previous owner marked every 2 inches on the rod from 8 to 18. I, of course exceeded those markings in both directions with this rod. The wraps are all good on this rod. The cork is worn/soiled, as is the reel seat, but just from good use. The rod has a hook-keeper, a metal stripping guide, One double-looped snake guide, a worn(surface only) male fiberglass ferrule(see picture 4) a metal ring on the female ferrule, and 6 snake guides and a tip/top on the top piece. I don't ... morehave the tube or the rod sock that should be with it. This rod has caught many fish and there is no reason it can't help someone enjoy catching many more. I have used this rod very lightly as i prefer smaller rods for the majority of fishing i do. The rod is a four piece. With original bag and and tube. Beautiful Wright & McGill Granger Premier Fly rod complete with both tips!
You are bidding on a very nice. Antique Wright& McGill Granger Premier fly rod. It has four segments, two of which are the tips. All of the guides are in excellent shape, with the exception of one that is 1st from the end on the spare tip. It comes with the canvas bag and an aluminum storage tube. Unfortunately the label on the tube is missing and I am not sure if it is original. The year it was made was in 1938, and it was made in Denver Colorado. The model is 2.114.10. Each segment is approx 38.5 inches long. All inserts are in great shape, and there are no splits or cracks in any of the segments. The varnish is in excellent shape as well.
