Marked on the rod decals: BILL BARNES FINEST TACKLE- GENUINE TONKIN CANE- This old bamboo rod is a 3 piece, 8 1/2 feet, 5.3 ounce model with an extra tip. It is fully functional and in excellent, near mint condition appearing just barely used if at all with the only detail of some of the logo decal has chipped away but overall the varnish is still virtually 100% and there is a tiny ding on the second section female ferrule, which neither affects the performance nor function. The real seat actually shows no evidence of use and any superficial marks on the rod are probably just from storage. Scott Fiberglass (Brown Glass) Fly Rod 7-foot 3-weight 2-piece
This great modern fiberglass small stream rod was finished from a factory blank by a good friend who is a guide and a rod-builder. The blank is a 2-piece Scott fibertouch F703 from the 1990's. It is amber-brown. Unsanded, and in perfect condition. It was finished with snake guides and a half-wells grip with a cap and ring reel seat. Wraps are a subtle old gold color with very little varnish build-up. There is no writing on the rod. Many Blue Ridge brook trout have had an attachment to this rod! I'm attached to it as well. But these are difficult times and the herd must be thinned. Scott glass is precise. Though forgiving of a clunky caster like myself. It roll casts beautifully. Modern glass rods are light and perfectly suited for casts in the 20-60 foot range. There is a South Bend decal and 59-9’ inscription and a partial Best of Luck decal. All of the sections measure 37” I would estimate the fly line weight at a six. There is a really cool six inch wooden handle that is great condition. The sliding ring reel seat has a hairline crack but it is fully functional and mounts a fly reel perfectly(see pictures) There are two snake eye guides on the mid and tip sections. The stripper guide is agate with a red insert. The rod fits together perfectly when assembled. There is a slight natural set in the tip section which will not affect its casting use. An agate stripper guide and one snake guide. The cork grip has been shaved. The mid section is 32 1/2" long. It has been stripped of its hardware. The longest of the tip sections is 42 1/2" long. It has three snake guides, no tip-top. The next longest is 34 3/4" long, has two snakes and a tip-top, looks like it may match up with the butt section. Antique Chas Farlow Fly Rod Reuben Heaton Ebonite Reel 4 Pc Screw on Weight Ash
This antique Chas Farlow fly rod came from an auction in Vermont. It is a 4 piece rod. The brass butt is marked Chas Farlow Maker 191 Strand London Prize Medal. It was made between 1852 and 1884. Together the rod measures 10 feet. 10 inches. The reel is made of ash with drop ring brass ferrules. The reel does not have a maker's mark. I believe it to be a Reuben Heaton ebonite, but am not sure. It has a weigh that screws into the base. Any information on what this weight is used for would be greatly appreciated. It is in very good conditon, especially considering that it is at leat 129 years old. The bag has marks, stains. There are some wear marks on the reel and light wear on the rod.

VTG HEDDON Bamboo Fly Rod #10 9' 2 1/2 F HDH 6 Wt for TROUT
Here is a very nice Heddon#10 9 foot 2 1/2 ferrule bamboo fly rod. I do not know the history of this rod. But I can tell you what I see. I will answer all of the usual questions. All sections are the same length and very straight- no noticable sets. All of the guides and ferrules are tight with no movement or clicks. The ferrules fit together very well with a slight snugness and they have that familiar suction pop when pulled apart. The grip and reel seat are in excellent condition, with ever so slight ridging,if any at all. The sock is obviously a little ratty and the tube has no cap. The original owners name has been professionally added to one of the butt flats and looks to be original to the rod. The varnish is excellent and has a very nice sheen to it. I absolutely love the caramel color and graining to this rod, it is beautiful. With ... moreall of that being said, I would classify this as a top notch fishing tool, not a collectors grade, as most 9 footers are not. An HDH is equivalent to a modern 6 wt and I do not know about you, but most of the waters that I fish, require this exact size, a 9' 6 wt. The top section(tip) of the rod has been recently replaced by Orvis through their faithful 25 years warranty. I have not used the rod since the replacement. Orvis stopped making this rod a long time ago. This model has been replace by Superfine models.The rod only weighs 1 ounce. It feels super light in your hand. It's a graphite, 4 weight, 7 foot, 2 sections, full-flex rod. The tube is made of aluminum with brass caps. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!

Aailable to the highest bidder is an Orvis model Golden Eagle Fly rod. This is a 9' rod. For 4 1/2oz. Other writing can be seen in pics. Original sock and tube are included. The rod looks very nice, nice deep green color. All wraps are in good shape as is the cork handle. It was probably used a couple times then stashed away. Fenwick fly fishing rod. Rod# FF858. 8 1/2' 4 1/8oz AFTMA fly line No 8. Rod is in very good condition; does have some paint? spatterings. The action to put together& take apart rod is smooth. Reel holder pieces screw all the way up and down. Cork handle in good condition. But does have some cracks where it appears flies were hooked to. Comes with the hard triangular shaped case with Fenwick label, missing one end cap. This rod is about 5" too tall for this case, but am including it anyway. The rod actually measures 8'2" but I do not see any indication of repair and I think that the ferrule seats deeper. It comes with the original Orvis tube and bag which is in rough condition.
