This is my newest rod and therefore I don't feel bad about selling it. It has only been fished with 3 times in freshwater(never been fished in salt! and is essentially brand new. The rod is a current model that retails for $710 and is arguably the best saltwater 9 foot 9 weight available.

I have glued a British Pound to the but end for counter mass for ultra light fishing reels. This rod is in excellent condition. This rod I have loved for many years. I have kept it in very good condition with a rod sock on it during transportation. Have fished lovingly with this rod for blue gills. I regret needing to sell this beautiful rod. This G. Loomis Model GF-704 has been kept in excellent condition save the small cork defect previously discussed. If one is a perfectionist. And this bothers you, here is what I would do: To bring it back to perfection one can cut a small section of cork from an old handle. Epoxy the underside of the cork piece and wrap packaging tape around the handle compressing the cork patch tightly to the cork handle. Once the epoxy dries remove the tape and sand the patch so as to match the rest of the handle. When I worked at True Temper/ Montague this is how we would make such small repairs. This is a gorgeous GF-704! It is 90% graphite composite. And the entire rod weighs a mere 3 oz. Where the rod blank enters the cork it is.257" in diameter. Where the rod blank enters the tip guide it is.083" I believe the photographs show well the aluminum ... morerod case with a rubber-gasketed. Aluminum, screw-on cap. There is a cloth inner liner which keeps the sections from rubbing against each other.

The rod has been used about five times and would rate an 8 out of 10 only because there is some slight signs of use on the cork handle otherwise the rod is excellent. It is a deep green color with matching wraps and has an uplocking reel seat. This rod also comes with a Loomis Adventure 5 fly reel also slightly used it has the cloth pouch and box. The reel also has Airflo wf6f line on the reel with 20lb line backing that is slightly used. You can take this rod right out and fish with it when you get it or you change it up however you like. I bought this rod new last summer and used it only 3 or 4 times, I'm selling it because I haven't fished all summer and have no time for it, This rod looks brand new! Nothing wrong with it at all.
