It is unmarked other than. Perhaps, a very slight discoloration of the cork. The ferules are waxed and tight. Hardy doesn't use warranty cards. You may register it on-line upon receipt. Hardy Bros Alnwick Super Silex 4" This is a Hardy Super Silex 4' reel. It spins smoothly and has a ribbed brass foot. As far as I can tell everything works as it should including the weight setting which moves between 1-5. The inside of the reel case is stamped JD which from what I have read on the internet was the person responsible for making the reel. The face plate appears to have been replaced as you can see in the photo's. As you can also see in the photo's there are cracks in two of the pillars on the spool cage. There are also other cracks on the rim of the cage. There is some pitting on the spool. I have given an honest description of the reel. But, I know very little about these reels so I might have missed something. I will be happy to post further photo's or to answer questions. Offered for sale is a vintage Scientific Angler System 7 fly reel& 1 extra spool. The reel was MADE by Hardy in England I was told in the late 1970's. The reel comes with a marked Scientific Anler reel case. Both the fly reel and extra spool were found inside the reel case(tight fit but that how they were found! The reels housing shows paint wear from use but otherwise the reel is smooth and ready to use. There are no chips or dings-just ordinary paint wear from use. There are fly lines on each spool that I think are still useable. Both line could use a cleaning. The reel is set up for right handed retrieve but can be switched if you know how. There are no splits or cracks to the reel that I can find and it retains some of its' original finish. Mainly to the spool. It has the usual scratches and scuffs from the years of use that you would expect, but all adds to its' character and charm, so evocative of times and anglers past. 1977 HARDY THOMPSON GEM MORENCI TURQUOiSE BLOOD CORAL BRACELET ATKINSON TRADING
Welcome! This beautiful bracelet was created in the spirit of Dan Simplicio. Zuni, by Hardy Thompson, Navajo, when he was working for Atkinson Trading Company in 1977. The stones used are gem quality Morenci, a quality of that stone that was exceptionally rare at that time, and is no longer available now, and clean blood red coral. It's as good as it gets and the attestation to the making of it is on the back of the bracelet by the owner of Atkinson Trading Company who describes the stones and artist. The writing is protected when the bracelet is worn because the the three heavy wires that form the foundation of the bracelet, are raised above the writing. These wires are flat on their back, so the bracelet sits comfortably on the wrist and rounded in front. They don't allow the writing on the back of the plaque to touch the skin. ... moreThe stones are all plain bezel set. All the 14 oval coral pieces as well as the two larger Morenci pieces. The leaves and other decoration are beautiful. As I mentioned, the bracelet is set on three heavy rounded wires for a foundation and these wires come together at the sides and back. The two outer wires widen at the center and the middle wire goes down the middle, so the central plaque is well balanced. It's a strong bracelet, very heavy at 105.3 grams, and solidly made. It comes from Old Pawn and is in exceptional, excellent vintage condition. The internal length is 5.5" with a 1" gap, total internal length is 6.5" It is not flexible due to its solidity, though a very good jeweler could widen the gap. The width is about 3-1/8" at the center and it tapers to 3/4" at the sides and terminals. This is a statement piece; it's extraordinary. Top quality in every respect. It's fabulous. Hardy 1915 Split Bamboo Fly Rod A 3 section fly rod with replacement top section and 10'0" long(spare top section is 9" short) Rod number is A99717 and built in 1915. Made from Palakona split bamboo with agate butt ring. Patent bridge intermediates and agate end rings. Complete with bag. Lower joint has original lockfast fittings. Top joint has replacement suction ferrules. Original top section has original lockfast ferrule(so cannot be used) Mid section is 1" short. Replacement top is 1" long. Original top is 9" short.
