Free Shipping Location: Japan This is a vintage Daisy Heddon Model 320 Fly Reel. It is in excellent working condition with no mechanical problems. Look at all the photos for the cosmetic ... morecondition. Note that the reel and spool were marked in black. But this appears to be black nail polish, which can be fairly easily scraped off with a fingernail without marring the reel's finish. I will leave finishing that job to the new owner. The(very) old fly line(a Scientific Anglers Air Cel Wet Tip WF-6-F/S) and old backing are included, but may not be fishable. It is now set up for left-hand wind, but can be easily changed to right-hand wind. This classic reel belonged to my Dad, and I remember him buying a couple of these as spares in the 1960's, and this one, while more than 50 years old, likely wasn't used very much. I managed to lose the one he gave me at some point about 30 years ago. The reel frame is 3 1/2 inches in outside diameter and 1 inch wide. The spool is 3 1/8 inches in outside diameter and 3/4 inch wide. What is interesting about these reels is that they were assembled in the USA out of parts made in Japan(as marked on the reel foot) and they were high quality but relatively inexpensive reels. As you can see, the Heddon 320 is essentially a copy of the classic Hardy Lightweight fly reel. I am not sure if parts are interchangeable. These Heddon 320's are quite rare(certainly more rare than the Hardy reels) and extremely hard to find in this condition. An essential for your collection, even if you only collect Hardy reels, but the reel can also be used for any fresh-water fly fishing. I have too many fly reels that I don't use, so I am thinning the herd. I will be listing some other fly reels and duck calls this week, so take a look at my other auctions. I accept only Paypal. Original Quality Hardy Marquis Salmon 3. This is THE big one. This is an early model with the ribbed foot and was made when Hardy tackle making was at its finest. Simple in design and built like the proverbial tank there is almost nothing to go wrong with the mechanism of the reel. With a Double ratchet this reel is spotless inside but the outer reel casing has scratching to the enameled finish. As usual the spool edges show spotting to the chrome finish. This is a reel designed for work in harsh environments. Comes with two spare spools and 3 Hardy badged zipper cases with 3 lines. Sink tip Scientific Anglers. Deep sink tip Teeny and a DT11 Seirntific Anglers floater. I have owned 3 of these reels and this is the last from my tackle bag. The back is stamped 925 and also Hardy's JH insignia. It's in great shape with slight signs of wear. No major damage or abuse. You are bidding on a rare 1933 World's Fair Bottle Opener. This is from the Chicago Worlds Fair that was entitled Century of Progress. The opener kind of looks like Oliver Hardy but there is nothing on it that says it is. It measures about 5 1/2 inches tall and about 2 1/2 inches at the widest part. It is in good condition but it has a little chip on the left side of the head which you can't see looking straight at the opener. Here is neat little ambum that I came across. Nicely molded cover and Published& Copyrighted by CHAIN& HARDY of Denver Colorado in 1879. Made up of 16 various views of Colorado from Manitou Springs. Sangre de Cristo Mtn, San Juans, sluice mining, Pikes Peak, Mount of the Holy Cross, Royal Gorge, etc. It was small albums like this that advertised the Natural Beauty of Colorado to the East. As you can see some of the pages separated and I am not sure if there are any missing. Couple of the pages have tiny chews on the bottom. Over all this is very nice piece of Early Colorado History. Album closed measures 13 by 8 1/2 CM. Neat piece. Thanks for looking!
