And cotton rope tail DIMENSIONS: The paddle measures about 9-¾ inches long. CONDITION: Overall in GOOD CONDITION. This is a 74 year old toy that is held together with string. It is possible that the toy has had some restoration work done. But it looks good to me, and I would call it“carefully played with” There is paint loss here and there, and some small wood chips that just add to its charm. Lot of 7~Vintage Fishing Lures~Jitterbug~Atlantic Fishing Lures~Rocky~Rapala?
I know nothing about these.found them in an old tacklebox. I know they are old because I've had them many years and they were old when I found them. There are seven. The largest is 4-1/4" long. I think hes wooden and the mouth is magnetic. He looks like a minnow or spearing. The next looks like a catfish and has tentacles. It's body is 1-1/4" and the tentacles, make it 3-1/2" The next little guy looks somewhat like a frog in it's coloring and is made of wood. He has a a silver, metal wing-like thing under hischin and is marked, FRANTIC ANTIC"ATLANTIC LURES, INC-PROVIDENCE. Next is an orange one with two black markings on each side. It doesn't have a head and it's 2-1/4" I believe it's plastic. Next is a small silcer one who is jointed in the middle. He has a single spoon looking thing under ... morehis chin and measures 1-1/2" He's marked, ROCKY-SR. The largest of the lot is a"chubby" 3" red and white JITTERBUG and he also has the silver, wing looking metal piece under his chin. He's also marked and it says, FRED ARBOGAST AKRON, OHIO. It also has a patent# but I can't read it.Each lure has two hooks.

This lure has a poor factory paint job in my opinion plus a line of paint on one side of the belly as seen in photo. This may or may not come off. Still, this lure has never left the box and is considered a tougher Jitterbug Color. I will be selling a good part of my huge Jitterbug Collection on Ebay over the next few years so come back often. Vintage Old Cremes Creme NICK-A-ROO Lure Scarce surface jitterbug
this is a lure that you seldom see and it is in great condition. These were made in Akron Ohio and are very similar to the Fred Arbogast weedless jitterbug. This one is in coach dog finish and has a fibre weed guard and skirt. It says Nick A Roo on the belly.
