The covers I am selling this week are from the collection of the former editor of the USCS catalog Jim Russell and are a unique grouping. After WWII Jim tracked down ship sponsors. Commanding Officers and Admirals and sent them a cover to autograph from a ship or station that was part of the officer's career. Nearly all of these officers and ship sponsors from WWII ships have passed on so their autographs are unobtainable today.
