One has a few more scuff marks than the other but are both in good condition. One is a Mitchell Series 6'6" Graphic Powered medium 6- 15 lb. test 1/4 to 3/3 oz. It is produced in Korea. It is in fair condition. The other is a Mitchell 50th Anniversary 6' 6" medium. The test line is 6- 14 lbs. The lure is 1/8 to 3/4 oz. It is made in China. Vintage Garcia Mitchell 300 fishing reel. Open-face spinning, salt water, includes 5 spools, Made in France. Sport fishing, This legendary open face spinning reel is in good condition. Works great but there are a few spots where the black finish has chipped off. One of the great features of this reel is that you can change spools of line with a single push of a button. Each spool has its own tension adjustment that can be left in place when you change spools. This offer includes the reel, and 4 spools, some with line and 2 have storage cases. Up for sale is one Garcia Mitchell 300 retro/vintage spinner fishing reel. It is in good working condition. With some wear and tear. It appears to be mostly metal with some plastic/resin parts and should still have many years of use left in it. Very cool retro vintage look, would look great on a wall as well as make a statement while fishing. I purchased a lot of various reels from an estate sale, all are vintage or antique. All are functional and in either fair, good, or new condition, they probably could use some oiling, as they've been in storage for 20 years. I am selling my Dad’s vintage Garcia Mitchell 300 Fresh Water Spinning Reel because he does not use it anymore and my parents are clearing out some possessions. I am located in Baltimore. But an eBay member(thank you, sir) quickly alerted us that we did not have our facts straight about when this particular reel was manufactured. Originally, my Dad thought that the reel was purchased by him and his Dad in the late 1950’s on Whidbey Island in Washington state. Then he thought he got it in the late 60s. But. Memory plays tricks on us all and these memories could not be since this particular reel was made much later. Not being fishing or Mitchell experts. ... moreWe consulted the online Mitchell Fishing Reel Museum(findable by search engine, I dont think eBay likes websites in listings) to learn more about this particular reel. Because this reel has a straight anti-reverse lever and does not have reinforcing, it appears to be a 7th version. Here are the quotes from the museum website: The 7th version main determining factor was that the anti-reverse lever has changed to a straight lever. The 8th version main determining factor was area on the Cover Plate near the Anti-Reverse(A/R) Lever where the A/R Pin at the A/R Dog(inside) was reinforced as you can see. Furthermore. The serial number begins with an"E" which the museum website information indicates that the reel was produced in the 1975/1976 production season. I have this old vintage/ possiably antique Mitchell Garcia 300 spinning reel for sell. This reel is brand new and has never been fished. There is not one scratch. Scrap or any sign of wear on it. I am 95% sure this reel was made in 1956-1957, since there are seven serial numbers no letters, and this is how I figured it was in this era. After 1957 they started with letters in the serial numbers. At the top there is a number 4 by itself, not for sure what this number is. This is a great piece to add to your collection. There will be a little added to shipping costs as you can see on the shipping cost, so I can insure that it arrives to it destination safe.
