Fishing Up for consideration is a vintage Mitchell 300 7th version spinning reel made in France. This is a solid reel that functions flawlessly with all operations checked. Cosmetically. The reel is in good condition with vivid graphics on a decent black finish. The only cosmetic concerns include some minor wear on the bottom of the case, the edges of the rotating head and a couple of small spots on the corners of the foot. There is also a little bit of bubbling under the paint just above the Garcia Mithell 300 logo. Despite the cosmetic concerns, this is a solid reel that presents fairly well and is suitable for fishing or adding to a vintage tackle collection. I DO NOT SHIP TO BRAZIL! This reel is in very good condition and has been completely serviced. When I say the reel has been serviced I mean it has been completely stripped down and soaked in mineral spirits over night. Thoroughly cleaned, and then reassembled with synthetic grease and oil to prevent rust and hardening of the lubricants. a service I normally charge $15.00 for) This reel looks great on the inside. With no wear on the gears or any other interior part. This reel functions perfectly and shows very few signs of wear or use. The reel comes with extra spool. Garcia Mitchell 300 and 304 Reels, used with issues
For sale are 2 Garcia Mitchell reels. 300 and 304 models. Both reels are in working condition but both have issues and can either be fixed or used for parts. Both have normal wear for these reels with paint chips and general wear from use and age. If you should decide to repair them I think you'll have a couple of nice reels. Both reels are French made and both have pretty any part you need for them available on Ebay. The 300: The 300 is working well but one of the sideplate screws is stripped and I did not know how to remove it without damaging it or the reel so I've left it alone. I tried to show a picture of it. The bail works well and the reel works fine other wise. I like taking these reels a part and cleaning them and feel this one probably needs a good cleaning. There is a slight squeak when you turn the crank but the auto ... morereverse seems to work well. Otherwise the wear and damage to the reel is minimal and normal for these reels. The 304: The 304 is working and actually cranks smoothly. I was able to take this reel apart for cleaning and re-lubing and there was no internal damage. The reel is missing the auto reverse lever on the side plate and the spool's drag cap is discolored but doesn't seem to be worn or damaged and functioning fine. Just an odd color. The side of the spool shows some wear where it looks like it has rubbed against the inside of the reel but I cannot find anywhere were the reel is rubbing or touching and feel this problem was probably addressed before I received the reel. The spool is not damaged otherwise and works fine. I've looked on Ebay and both new side plates and even drag caps are available for this version reel. I enjoy collecting. Working on and using these reels but I am no expert and have tried to describe these reel's problems to the best of my knowledge. I will be happy to answer any questions. PLEASE NO FOREIGN BIDS.

The box shows age and wear, it is a bit dirty with light scratching and original paperwork is still in plastic packaging. Much of it is marked made in France. Vintage Garcia Mitchell 300 Spinning Reel Made In France ALL functions work as they should. And it cranks smoothly, BUT it has some stubborn build up spots of old reel grease. I couldn't get them off with my quick cleaning. So it'll require a good detailed clean. There's a few scratches and finish wear here and there. The bail works. But if clicked over when the reel spool is all the way out, it hits the top of the spool. Not sure what that's all about. Chrome finish on the bail shows a little corrosion. But nothing too ugly. The anti-reverse works fine. Number on the reel foot reads: 23 745 I've done no repair work on the reel. I purchased these reels at an estate sale and want to sell them all in one lot. All the reels are in good condition. But need to be cleaned up and a little shot of oil. Some have line but it's probably pretty old. I will also send a Mitchell#308, but the bail needs to be put back on. I've checked all the reels and the bails work and retreiving is normal.
