Four Mitchell 300 reels. The one may be another 300 or a slightly different number but is definitely a Mitchell. All work.the rear 3 are seasoned but soiled. But they crank and click and reverse stop. Also as you can see the center one is really nice. Works great and I have the extra spools and some manuals. IN BOX 1969 GARCIA MITCHELL 300 SPINNING REEL WITH EXTRA SPOOL , SLEEVE & P.W.
Up for sale is a 1969 GARCIA MITCHELL 300 SPINNING REEL WITH EXTRA SPOOL. SPOOL SLEEVE, PLASTIC BOX& PAPER WORK. This reel is in very good working condition. There does not seem to be any signs of being mounted to a rod. When I received this reel I was told it had never been used. I looked at the foot of the reel with a jewelers loop and I can't see any signs in the paint were it might have been mounted to a rod. The oil that was on the reel from the factory absorbed into the paper work a little. The plastic case had 2 cracks in it. They have been repaired with super glue, hardly noticeable. I know very little about fishing to be able to accurately describe the parts of this reel so please look at the photos carefully. The reel appearss to be in working condition and seems to have seen a bit of use. As the finish is worn. There is a spool of line in the reel. The booklet is completely readable, though there is some creasing on the cover and has been damp and dried. Fishing reel and extra spool and storage case stamped with made in France. Garcia Mitchell 300 Fishing Reel. Toggle anti reverse type: The serial number looks like it starts with a B the rest is hard to read 156106. T he paintwork is original with some small paint losses on the foot. Body and spool, overall its in a good used condition. The bail chrome is bright and with some signs of use. The anti reverse works as it should. The winding arm works as it should. The handle is complete and in good condition. The reel comes with a deep spool fitted. Good afternoon to all! This listing is for a vintage 1950's Mitchell 300 reel. This was made in France and has the serial number 780981 engraved on its body along with the Mitchell 300. There is what looks to be a glue spot above the handle on the body where there had previously been a boomerang shaped sticker. I consulted the Mitchell reel museum website to find out more info on this reel. I believe that it is one of the 5th version reels that was made before the Garcia name was engraved on them. The serial numbers on the 5th versions were from 620000 through 1800000 from the mid fifties up to 1958/59. There is also a 4 and a 3 on the foot and I could not find out what those numbers designate. This reel came with three extra spools of line and their cases. So along with the reel they go! This auction is for a Mitchell 300 spinning reel. MADE IN FRANCE. And great for freshwater and light saltwater fishing. This reel is in MINT condition and has been completely serviced. When I say the reel has been serviced I mean it has been completely stripped down and soaked in mineral spirits over night. Thoroughly cleaned, and then reassembled with synthetic grease and oil to prevent rust and hardening of the lubricants. a service I normally charge $15.00 for) The only reason I serviced the reel is because I wanted to check it out completely and remove the old grease and oil from it. This reel looks like new on the inside and outside. With no wear on the gears or any other part. This reel functions perfectly and shows no signs of wear or use. The reel comes with extra spool and the original box and booklet. The box is in fair shape with ... moresome tape but not completely thrashed. see picture) I can't say for sure that this reel has never been used because I bought if from someone else but. I can't find and indication that it has ever been used. I have been repairing and rebuilding/restoring fishing reels for over 35 years and this reel is an excellent buy. I try very hard to price the shipping costs at what my costs are keeping in mind that Paypal charges me 4% and Ebay charges 10% and nobody likes to lose money so I am as fair as I can be. The indestructible and timeless Mitchell 300! People are collecting them and many still use them! I still use one for tough Pike fishing chores! Please see all the pics for details. Excellent condition- far above average. Everything works as it should- if this used. It was used very little. I see a small rub on the bottom, near the rear, and a couple little pinpoint blems on the reel foot- that's all- sorry about the flash glare, but they are not rubs! Includes two spare spools, one in case. I am not knowledgeable as to the model/year. But for the collectors, the SN seems to read I351312. I can't guarantee that as it is very weakly stamped. I think both of the 300's I'm offering this weekend are of 1970's vintage. the condition of both would be difficult to upgrade!
