The pierced blade is beautifully done with bright cut engraving in the form of a fish surrounded by flowers. Scrolls, and leaves. The server is monogrammed with JEW on the reverse. This piece was made between 1835 to approximately 1850, perhaps even a few years later. The fish server is hallmarked on the reverse with a makers mark for Newell Harding& Company. It is amazing to think that this exquisite coin silver is 174 years old! It is as beautiful as the day that it was made by Newell Harding. Also on the back is a wonderful old script monogram that seems to be FAT from IMH. The fork is actually as good looking from the back as it is from the front. The fork is a large one. It measures 7 5/8" x 1" The tines are especially long at 2 1/2" They are quite sharp. The weight of the fork is 47 grams. I have 12 available. The total weight of all is 561 grams(1# 3.8 ounces) I will not be selling these for scrap price. That would be a total travesty!
