Orvis. CFO IV, fly reel with two spare spools. This is the 3 ¼” x ¾” heavily ventilated reel that was originally designed by Stan Bogdan for Orvis. This particular one is one of the older reels that were made in England for Orvis. With the adjustable drag switch on the rear plate that works as it should when turned. One can change the direction of the spool drive on this exposed rim reel by flipping the cam on the inside to move the pressure onto the other spring. This IV model can handle a WFF 6 line, and it has a double-sided nickel silver two-screw line guard and an aluminum full-length foot. The spare spools fit perfectly, and there are NO bent spool rims as all three spools spin beautifully. Orvis HLS Graphite Fly Rod 4wt 1 oz ounce Ultra Light Superfine
As you can see in the pictures. This rod is in very good condition. The handle has very minimal soiling and wearing. The top section(tip) of the rod has been recently replaced by Orvis through their faithful 25 years warranty. I have not used the rod since the replacement. Orvis stopped making this rod a long time ago. This model has been replace by Superfine models.The rod only weighs 1 ounce. It feels super light in your hand. Pflueger 2094 Gem Fly Reel Brass Foot VG+ Orvis Granger Heddon
1930s-40s brass foot Gem with good paint for age and in EXC mechanical condition. No cracks in handle. Typical rubs to edges. Please see all photos for details. The front face of spool has what look like touch ups to paint. Tone is slightly darker in spots. Use zoom to look closely. This does not appear on rest of reel. I cleaned carefully and lubed with hot sauce. I'm selling because this older style brass foot with broad-end does not quite sit well enough on my small 50s Battenkill Deluxe reel seat. Orvis Superfine Far & Fine 7'9" 5wt 2 5/8oz
Very nice Orvis Far& Fine fly rod. 7'9" for 5 weight. 2 5/8 oz. This one is in really nice condition- check the pics. Throws a beautiful WF5 and DT4 and I've even thrown a 3 weight with it on occasions. One note: the alignment dot on the tip section is rubbed off. You can still kind of were where it was, but its almost gone. The one on the butt section is perfect. I'm selling this rod knowing I'm going to regret selling it. I have too many fly rods. And in particlualr 5 weight fly rods. For me, this rod fits the same niche as another Orvis Superfine I have, an 8'6" 5wt Henry's Fork. I'd say the Far& Fine throws a nicer loop and is much lighter in the hand(even though the FnF is 2 5/8 ounces and the Henry's Fork is 2 1/2 ounces) Its also in much nicer shape than my Henry's Fork, which is ... morefull of scratches. Men’s Orvis Pro Guide Waders Neoprene gravel guards, sock foot XXXLSH
These waders have seen a lot of fish caught. They’re in good condition except for two slices just above the waist on the right side(I doubt the photos do much good but I tried to capture the slits and the repair on the inside. He wore them for a few years after making the repair and never complained. So it must have worked! Because they are so well-experienced. I’m listing them for just $25. First taker gets them for that and the shipping. I’d rather see them used than not! Tight lines! RARE Superfine Orvis Bamboo Fly Rod 1 Solid Piece
Bidding on a Vintage Orvis Fly Rod. I'm not exactly sure of it's age but the serial number is 49913 and that number matches the serial number on the origional metal rod container. On the rod itself it has written"Orvis Imbreanated" Superfine" 6'1 7/8oz" H.D.G.6) I can not find a crack or splinter anywhere on this rod. I have taken pictures of all the eyes and the cork. It is a one solid piece which as you know is rare. Everything on the metal case matches up with the rod. I have had it appraised by two guys and one says its worth between $1000-$1200 and the other says between $1200-$1500. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. This smooth-loading lightweight fly rod displays only the faintest signs of nominal cosmetic wear and tear in the expected high traffic areas. As photos show. The cork grip shows very little staining from previous handling and remains overall void of any major chips, gouges, or excessive missing fill. Still bright and shiny like it was when new, the handsome gold finished up-locking burl-wood reel seat looks great and functions perfectly too. A close inspection of the rod's glossy green blank from tip to butt reveals no signs of catastrophic abuse like deep scratches. vintage Orvis 125th Anniversary fly rod 7 1/2' 2 pc 2 tips
This is an estate item that is in excellent condition with little or no signs of wear other than the scratch on the tube logo. It is serial number 86395. Built in the 1980's. It is impregnated cane with a cork grip. There is a maple wood insert in the grip. It comes with the original rod bag and rod tube. I do not know if the name can be removed from the cane, but just for information purposes, the original owner was a Chicago attorney who was very well respected and one who represented the Chicago school district. His obituary was printed in the Chicago Sun Times January 12, 2013.
