This is the Orvis Battenkill LA 6 which has been used for 2 seasons. There are minor scuffs along the exterior around the spool and drag knob. But there is nothing wrong with the reel. This reel has been cleaned and lubed after each season and is rated for big freshwater up to saltwater. I currently have it lined with an Orvis Wonder Line 9 wt salmon/ steelhead floating fly line, and I have caught plenty of them to tell you it works as advertised. This is an Orvis fly reel Model 1915ER. I plead ignorance on this reel. I think it's o.k. But I can't say with certainty if it's in good condition or what. Orvis 150 S, Nice reel working all the way, bail, anit-reverse, gears all fine.
The serial# is 2936 on the side plate. The foot of the reel show no signs of it being on a rod, the bail is crisp, the anti-reverse works, and the gears have grease on them and work as they should. The only thing is the handle has some light pitting on the chrome. handle knob is a wide beaver tail type. Combined shipping is always in effect. Orvis CFO 123 Fly Reel Plus Two Spare Spools
This is the smallest reel made by Orvis at the time. It is perfectly balanced with 1.2, or 3 wt rods. It was made by Hardy in England. I am offering two extra spools for a total of three. One is filled with a double taper one wt(no backing) and another with wf 2 wt for windier days(no backing) The third is filled with backing and a 3 wt wf line. The spool filled with the 3 wt has a small dent on the rim but works fine. Everything else is in near perfect condition. See my other listings for matching rods.

For your consideration is an Orvis Flea. 6' 6" 2/1, 4wt, impregnated bamboo fly rod. 56561 Excellent condition. This rod has been lightly fished and cared for. Tube and label is in excellent condition. Built with one tip(see label) Sock has a slight tear from a ferrule poke through(see photo 3) I purchased this two years ago from someone that had not fished it since 1976. The ferrule had a slight tick- fit was a little loose. I sent it to Orvis and Charlie Hisey recommended replacing the ferrules. Except for the Orvis factory replaced ferrules. This is 100% original. A fun rod to fish with a progressive taper. Wes Jordan developed this taper in the early/mid 60's in response to William Mills& Son wanting a short. Light weight fly rod.
