I will say that the extra spool is missing the counter balance but the screw is in a plastic bag that will come with the reel. If one wanted one could make a counter balance and use the screw. Orvis 8' "trout" 6 weight fly rod 2 5/8 oz superfine graphite
Up for auction is a really nice 6 wt. Orvis fly rod. The model is an 8' trout" and weighs 2 5/8 ounces. It is a great rod for both beginners and experienced fly fishermen with a medium action. I found it easy to use and caught quite a few fish with it. The rod itself is in excellent condition with no scratches or blemishes. The case on the other hand has seen better days. It has a small dent. Numerous imperfections, and the stickers are scratched. All of this can be seen in the pics. All in all a really good rod. Up for consideration is a original Wes Jordan 7 1/2 3 7/8 oz rod this originally was owned by a friend of my grandfathers who had special ordered it. after he passed away his wife sold all of his rods to my grandfather who had a huge collection of orvis rods which he flyfished with and kept tucked away we had over 25 bamboo rods and am down to just a few of the better ones left this one had three tips one is broken with tape around it. The other two good tips from end to end are roughly 45 1/2 inches 46 inches each are the same serial numbers are all matching 79723 overall a very scarce and nice rod. has the original wes jordan leather case also strap is worn needs new one.

W.S. Franke 7'6"1-2pc. For those whoever have visited a classic tackle show in the Northeast. you have probably seen Bill Franke. Bill was the owner of One Pfoot(machined parts for Pflueger Medalist reel) Bill built countless rods and rod components. He was a true gentleman. Whom I'm proud to have called him my friend. The rod was built by Bill from an Orvis unsanded graphite blank. The 7'6"1-2pc. The classic Orvis with the sleeve ferrule. The reel seat is a nickel silver cap and ring with a curly Koa insert. The reel seat prefers a thin reel foot. Like a CFO or Hardy. The wraps are red with a clean black tipping, very classy as are all of Bill's work. This rod has been in a rod tube for most of its days, it doesn't appear to be ever fished. Orvis T3 8'6" 2 piece Mid Flex 8.0 in nearly new condition. The rod has never been fished but has been handled and test cast. There is a name inscripted on the rod in gold that matches the rest of the writing on the rod; it is right above the handle on the first section. The tube has some sticker residue and a couple scuffs. Rod is UNUSED and near perfect condition. I've examined the blank inch by inch and there are NO scratches on the rod. The cork is spotless but the butt cap has a few TINY marks on it. USPS PRIORITY INSURED; sells to USA only. Alaska and Hawaii to pay actual shipping cost including insurance.
