Up for auction is a very nice Penn International 50 Made in the USA. This reel is in perfect working condition. This reel Is also in very good cosmetic condition. There are some normal signs of wear on the reel from normal use. U may want to change the bottom screws that go onto the reel seat which are a little bent from tightening down the nuts onto the reel seat. Which is pretty much unavoidable in offshore fishing. All components are in very good condition. As seen in the picture. It is spooled with approximately 600 yards of Ande 30 lb. test monofilament. It may be valuable to add that I took this pictures with a Canon Rebel and it tends to magnify the camera so that any blemish or scratch looks far worse than it is. I have caught dozens of blue marlin with these reels as well as swordfish and lots of yellowfin tuna. I've never lost a fish due to reel failure in all those years. The International 80 has a line capacity of 750 yards of 80 pound line. A 2.7:1 gear ratio and weighs in at 108 ounces. Penn spec. sheet says it has a one piece pinion spool and spool shaft. Stainless steel ball bearings. Double dog design provides maximum security and long wear-free life. Unique drag system. Pre-set drag automatically keeps drag tension within safe limits. Hi everyone, I'm selling two Penn international 50W single speed combos. They are mounted on Fenwick igfa 50lb class rods. Reels were recently serviced in November 2013 with brand new never used line 80lb bullbuster. Fenwick Rods are 6"10 aftco roller guides(recently disassembled. Cleaned and treated with corrosionX) One butt is aftco the other is varmac. Guide wrappings are tight and rollers run freely. Overall condition is great, few dings and scratches. Rod clamps included.
