For bid is the hard to find green Penn Spinfisher Ultralight 716 Reel pictured. It is all original with some wear. It reels smoothly and the drag works. I upgraded and I am selling this as I purchased it. The initials JRS are on the upper back and lightly on the top of the reel seat(pictured) The bail spring has no pressure and it doesn't work. Vintage Penn Spinfisher 710 Spinning Fishing Reel Made in the USA
This is a vintage Penn Spinfisher 710 spinning reel. It is used and functions. It reels rather tightly when turning the handle. The spool goes up and down when reeling. The drag loosens and tightens like it is supposed to, the bail locks when opened and flips over when reeled, and the anti reverse works. Again, it reels very tightly and I don't know if a complete clean and lube will take care of it. There is some wear and light rust and saltwater rash throughout. See all photos to see all these. For sale here is a used black handle. Black spool, PENN SENATOR 12/0 star drag, deep sea trolling reel and it is complete with rod brace assembly, rod clamp and retaining nuts. This is also known as PENN's Model 116L and it is reasonably new. It is designed to bring in large game fish and carries 800 yards of 80 lb. test monofilament line and of course a much larger amount of modern Spectra or Braid. It has a gear ratio of 2 to 1. I have gone through this reel and it works just the way it was designed to with smooth drags and a very loud clicker. Cosmetics are very nice with a minimum of boat rash and no corrosion.
