These reels were used for trolling for lake trout and Salmon as well as Salmon mooching. This all-brass reel weighs in at a hefty 19 ounces. These early brass models workhorses were originally nickel plated. Years of use and saltwater had removed much of its plating. It was decided to removed the remaining plating and buff-out down to the brass. The spool was treated to multiple layers of primer and enamel. The photos show the end result which we feel to be an excellent candidate for anyone's vintage reel collection or man cave decor. Although we hope the winning bidder will retire this reel. If wanted, it could still be fished. The click/pawl still sounds out. It retrieves reasonably well for its age with only a slight hesitation depending upon how much drag is dialed up on the center pin device. V intage Almost Antique 1926 2nd Model Pflueger Summit Fishing Reel with Jeweled End Caps. Here is a very nice example of the beauty and craftsmanship of the antique American Made fishing reel. This is a 2nd Model Pflueger Summit with the amber reel handles and the Summit only name tag. This version comes with the Scarlet Agate Jewels. This is a version that appears heavily engraved however it is a stamped design. This is the most beautiful Pflueger reel design that I have seen. This reel has a couple of boat rash issues. It has a drop mark on the outside plate and another one on the level wind housing. These are shown in the pictures. It is a very clean and good working reel with a loud clicker. The only big problem is that one of the handle knobs is falling apart from age. Although it can still show very well you will have to use a different ... morehandle if you plan on using it. Antique/Vintage( 1923) Pflueger Redifor Bulldog trademarked Bait Casting Fishing Reel. Here is a very nice antique Pflueger Redifor Fishing Reel. This is almost an antique but is definitely a vintage reel since it was made almost 100 years ago. It looks great for its age. It has the Pflueger Bulldog logo on the front of the reel along with the words Anti-Back-Lash. It also has the jeweled caps that help make this such a beautiful Reel. On the back are the words Patented and the dates of Jan 22.1907, Mar 10, 1908 and Apr 3, 1923. It also has a serial# of 10435. This reel as you can see in the pictures is an outstanding reel The reel works great with a very strong clicker. Its only issue is the knob on the counter handle has dried up a bit. Vintage Pflueger International 631 Spinning Spin Saltwater Surf Fishing Reel
Vintage Pflueger International 631 Spin Fishing Reel Made in JAPAN You are bidding on a Vintage Pflueger International 631 Spin Fishing Reel. The reel has a good bit of finish wear to it but parts are solid. Please take note- The bail does not flip back you have to manually reset it so probably needs new bail springs. also take note the handle knob has a piece missing you can see this in the last photo. For close inspection you can check out the super-sized and zoom-able photos of this reel. This vintage Pflueger International 631 does work otherwise. It has a good cranking action with good click with a good solid anti-reverse and the forward reverse lever works well with good forward reverse mode. There is a tapping in the backround when cranking but seems to crank well. Rotor turns well with undulating spool motion. Also has a good working ... moredrag as well as a good out clicker. Again reel has finish wear as you can see. Handle knob is partially removed and bail does not flip. Up for bid is a Vintage Striper/Deep Sea Lure lot(13) C.C.B.C. Pflueger, Rebel, etc. There are(2) 7" Rebel lures- 1 black back gold lip marked Rebel and belly marked floater, in very good condition. The other I believe to be a Rebel and is a 7" mackeral, in good condition, slight fading and not marked, The plunker I believe is a Creek Chub Bait Co. silver flash, that is wooden approx. 4 3/8" painted eyes, slight grazing on belly, overall condition is very good, but not marked. The blue silver scale plug is a wooden 5" Pflueger Mustang with painted eyes and in fair plus condition and some very slight crazing. Also has some hook drags both sides mid section. The group of 3 plastic striper/salmon plugs are in poor condition. The blue& white siler flake plug is unknown, 5" of heavy type plastic. The large spoon is ... morea L.B. Huntington Drone#3 and the silver jig is a Point Jude PO-JEE1 1/2 oz condition fair. The largest jig shown just below the spoon has no name and no line tie? It weigh's approx. 4 oz.
