The almost card stock paper frog has no bends or creases. All original buck tail hook is attached with extra hook on it for frog. The frog was meant to be used as a pattern to cut out a pork rind frog as a trailer. I can't imagine too many paper frogs are left. There is wear to the spoon but the frog was never used it would seem bring as crispy as it is. I am selling my entire collection. Save me in your favorite sellers. Choice 1910-1913 #84 PFLUEGER Raised Pillar, Flush-Handle Trout TRADE Reel, *VF*
Up for auction an Extremely Nice 1910-1913 PFLUEGER No.84 RAISED PILLAR. FLUSH HANDLE 80-YARD TROUT"TRADE" REEL. These flush-handle trout reels were produced by Pflueger from 1907 to 1913. Because this example is equipped with the white knob, we know it was built from 1910 to 1913. Years later, this identical reel would be sold as the"Seminole" model from Pflueger's Portage line of reels. This earlier unmarked"trade" version would have been supplied to any number of retailers or wholesalers across the country. Under the foot is stamped with the"80" yardage mark, the only markings on the reel. Built with a narrow 1" spool, raised pillars and comes equipped with a strong adjustable clicker and a flush crank handle with what appears to be a hard rubber grip. Reel is in about Very Fine, lightly ... moreused condition and would likely clean up even nicer. Displays beautifully and is one of the nicer examples I've seen. Works perfectly and is incredibly smooth-running. A lovely example of these early trout reels from Pflueger. To be sold with a very low starting bid and NO RESERVE. Excellent condition. Closed-face, spin casting reel in its original box. Condition: Functional 10 out of 10. Appearance 8 out of 10. Has some minor dings and scratches. But still has a lot of shine, as you can see in the pictures. The foot apparently became loose at some point, and was re-secured by the previous owner, leaving some dents in the back of the foot(see picture) Box is in very good and solid condition with no tears or stains. Insert sheet has some spots. But no tears. It includes the'exploded view' and parts list& numbers. Reel takes 4 to 8 lb. test line.
