Early VL&A Casting Reel by Pflueger
Vintage trade reel for VL&A- Von Lengerke& Antoinne- out of Chicago. Il, made by Pflueger. Many would claim this was a Montague made reel, so I'll explain why I strongly feel this is not, and my reason for naming Pflueger as the maker. The yardage marking under the foot is a very small font(60 for 60 yards) something Pflueger did, with Montague reel having a much larger font. The screw off end caps are fitted with tiny jewels and twin bands of knurling- an early Pflueger design. Lastly, the counter balanced handle is Pflueger design also. A nice reel with good nickel plating, working drag switch on the head plate and crisp sounding click with a switch on the tail plate. The reel spins very smooth, and with bands of coin edge knurling and old original line, is an attractive reel too. Please note- due to a marked increase in the ... morenumber of"cancelled" bids. In absolute 100% working order guaranteed. This vintage Pflueger Sea Star 1050 spinning reel is used but if you looked that good given it's age people would comment that you were a beauty. I found this at an estate sale and just want to pass it along to a COLLECTOR. There is very little wear to the surfaces and it would be pretty hard to upgrade this one. I give it a 8+ on a 10 scale. In this posting is the following: Pflueger President 6935 spinning reel(This reel has some scratches/scuff marks from use. Nothing is broken. And it is in good working condition. Pflueger Trion GX 4520GX spinning reel(This reel has some scratches/scuff marks from use. Nothing is broken; however. The reel is not nearly as smooth as the President reel. I don't know if the roughness is due to use, or if it is due to how inexpensive it is.

Up for sale is this cool old Pflueger Tandem Metal Spinner. Its in nice shape with the exception of some paint coming off the back of the blades and the sinking weight. Could use a little cleaning. It basically measures about 5 1/2 inches over all. From swivel to feathered treble hook. The top blade is marked Pflueger trademark made in USA. 1. The bottom blade is marked Tandem Spinner. This is a rare 1960s Pflueger fish finder model No. 776 not a lot of these were made and they are hard to find. This one has been stored in my 86 year old uncles bedroom since he bought it.
