REEL CONDITION: The plates measure 2" in diameter. The pillars are 1-7/8" The jeweled oil cup on the tail plate side is damaged with most of the red jewel missing. The jeweled cup on the head plate side is in much nicer condition. The clicker is non-working. The spool brake works as designed. With clicker in the off position the handle and spool spin free and easy. With the clicker in the on position the reel works but periodically has a hitch. The click pawl is worn causing this. The reel is in the original condition as found and has not been cleaned. This one might be best used for parts due to the periodically hitch when the click is on! Pflueger Supreme Baitcasting Reel, Vintage Fishing, Model 1573, Excellent in Box
Pflueger Supreme Model 1573 Reel. Way above average condition, in original box. This reel has been used. But not very much. There was a line on the reel, there are faint line indents in the cork arbor. But no significant wear. no corrosion. and the foot is about perfect, there are no gouges from mounting on a rod. Screw slots appear untouched. The click is smooth and strong. and the adjustable drag functions as it should. The spool rotates freely and true. The gearing is tight and smooth. The satin chrome plating is excellent. No unsightly scuffs or wear. Both crank grasps turn freely. There are a few light wear lines in the face of the crank and a few faint handling marks on the backplate which should show in the pictures. Overall, this reel is in excellent condition. No problems and no excuses. The box is dated June 1951 and someone has ... moreglued at least two of the cover seams. The box contains two Shakespeare Wonderod hang tags. One offers to repair and replace rod sections for $4.00, postpaid. I choose to fish classic bass plugs with cane rods and have used a Pflueger Supreme for many years. These are wonderful reels. Antique fishing lure Pflueger Pal-O-Mine, wood, glass eyes, nice condition
For your consideration I have a antique Pflueger Pal-O-Mine wood lure with glass eye's 3 1/2 in. long with 2 treble hooks it is from an estate sale. I am not sure if this lure has ever seen the water. It does have a few scratches that could be from riding around in a tackle box for so many years, the hooks are rust free and sharp and no damage or dings on the metal bill.
