Antique 7'6" Bamboo/Cane Surf rod - One piece w/Pflueger griptite band
This is an antique surf rod. It is one piece. Made from bamboo/cane and is 7'6" long. It has a sliding reel seat plus a Pfueger Griptite band. There are three guide plus tip. All wrappings have recent fiberglas coating. Theblank has been varnished or lacquered a number of times and has preserved this rod nicely. It is multi-shaded from all this but the rod is sound. We will ship this rod via FedEx ground, insured. We have had bad experiences using the USPS for fishing rods.

You are looking at a three hook. Glass eyed minnow. It has unmarked propellers and a 3" body with one belly weight. The lure is in a Green Crackleback finish. This lure dose have a few flaws, please see pictures. Light rust on hooks, paint scuff on belly etc. The reason for the? in the Title is because the eyes; in my opinion that they are VERY close together. I included a smaller reel in the picture so to compare the size next to the large reel. Instead of using a dollar bill or a quarter or a pop can. It is not included in the auction and is not for sale. This auction is for one large rod and one large reel. It is Marked on the Reel and it was Made in Akron Ohio. Montague Sixty Five Rod.Made in the USA But unable to read it.It is worn off. I think these are old hand held trolling set ups. About 71 inches long total. Comes apart like it was not used much or stored very well. Reel has the very costly Stainless Steel Wire Line, Good for trolling or Ocean fishing. I don't know what pound test the wire line is.But ... morelooks very strong and in very good shape. Reel is marked No. 1558 Made in the USA. It is 5.5 inches wide and about a inch and 3/4 thick.Plus the hand crank and the drag knob,Then it could be 3 inches wide. Reel looks like a giant Fly reel. I'm trying to clean out some of the extra stuff I have around and came across these 5 reels. They are as is and may be missing some screws. This small size 1/0 colorado spinner with the embossed stars is the only one I have seen in over 40 years of collecting tackle. It has 26 tiny stars embossed on this small blade. And. Just because I haven't ever seen one does not mean that it is worth a ton of money. It's just implies that I think it is a pretty scarce little bait. The star drag adjustment works good, the levelwind oscillates nice, and the pushbutton line release works well. I've heard anglers say that this no name reel is better than the original even though both are made in Japan. It's in superb condition. No scrapes. Rubs or dings anywhere. Even the original inspection sticker is still on the side(see pic) and in good condition. Also there is no screws on frame. Early handle knob and square line guide. Reel is used, wear, finish has been painted over on backside raised edge. No finish on back side of spool. Complete& working good. Tough to find Pflueger reel I sell my reels in the condition I find them. They have not been cleaned. Polished or oiled by me. They are checked for external cracks, short foot, clicker and broken screws. I try to note any problems. First class postage in the U.S. is $4.00 If buying more than one reel I combine shipping. Here's a PFLUEGER PELICAN Spinning Reel from the 1950's that in great working condition! The reel has a die cast aluminum frame and a machined aluminum spool. It features a drag setting on the rear of the reel. Which remains set when changing the spool. It's light-weight, has a stainless steel shaft, anti-reverse, a retrieve rate of nearly 20" per crank and the bail flips closed within 1/6th of a turn. The spool holds 125 yd's. of 8 lb. mono w/o backing. The reel was introduced in June of 1954 and sold for $22.95. Also included is it's original box. A bottle of oil, a tube of grease and it's wrench. The reel appears to have been used very little and the box has a torn spot and shows typical wear. Review all the photo's for the best details. Underwater Minnow Fishing Lure -Glass Eyes See Through Hardware Pflueger ?
This appears to be an early Pflueger underwater minnow. The lure has glass eyes. Hand painted gill marks. The cups where the hooks connect are much smaller than the Shakespeare cups which I also listed. The lure is in poor condition as seen in the photos with some paint chipping and flakes. All of the hooks are missing. Both eyes are uncracked and the lure has one belly weight. The lure body measures approximately 3.5 inches in length. This auction is for a vintage Pflueger Spinner Bait lure with kidney shaped spoon.It has No.6 along with pflueger on the top side of the spoon. Lure is in fair condition with signs of ware and age. It shows paint lose to underside of spoon. Trebel hook is in good condition with no breaks that I can see. Measures approx 6" long. Spoon is approx 2 1/4" long x 1 1/4" Hook is 2" long.
