Included are THREE EXTRA spools with lines as listed below. Back of reel has noticeable paint scuffs from years of use. Rest of reel and spools have varying degrees of minor paint scuffs as pictured. Again. All in great working condition and no bent or warped parts on reel or spools. Included on this reel's 4 spools are as follows: 1) Backing and Scientific Anglers weight forward 6wt Intermediate sink line in very good condition. 2) Backing. Pflueger Akron "Knuckle Buster" #1893 Reel & Matching Steel 4' 2" Fishing Rod
This vintage Pflueger has a little bit of dust on it but it functions perfectly. The 4'ft 2"in steel rod is matching for reel but has no markings I can find as to its make.There is some rust on the metal part of the rod handle where the reel seat is but the wood is in good shape. The rod and guides just look a bit oxidised. There are two guides only and the tip-top guide ring is broken off the tip-top as shown in picture but the rod is not bent. This is a classic reel and the old steel rods are hard to find.

All will start at $1.00 with no reserve. This one is a modified Pflueger Oceanic surf reel. New pillars were installed to this 4” diameter reel. And the spool axle was lengthened. The original foot was soldered on to the lengthened pillars. This reel is 5” wide and will hold a lot of line. It weighs almost 3 pounds. The reel works fine with a strong click and the free spool mechanism works properly. This reel needs cleaning to restore the German silver metal parts to their luster. The pillars appear to be brass and would shine up nice. Some screws are loose and there are 2 holes in the backplate for some reason.
