Vintage Used ABU GARCIA AMBASSADEUR FISHING REEL POWER HANDLE PEARL Short Handle
Great short power handle for the Ambassadeur. The metal crank measures 2 7/8" in length. Needs a cleanup to look great. No bends at all in any part. Rare Pflueger 1888 Interocean Reel - 1936
Up for bidding is this Rare Pflueger 1888 Interocean Reel circa 1936- 1940's. Stunning old reel has brass frame. Melamine side plates and a leather thumb drag. Brass has a beautiful golden patina with some green spots on the drum sides. Center hub is cork that is in very good condition. One side plate has a crack extending across from edge to edge. Everything seems to work. Crank knob shows the most age being cracked and dried through. It is still stable and strong. Please see photos for better detail and condition views. Up for bid is one vintage WINCHESTER Nickel Plated Casting/Fly Reel with Clicker. 4:1 Geared Multiplier, and 80 yard line capacity. Winchester made reels from about 1920-30. The reel has nickel plating over brass. The plating is in fair condition. There is some brass showing in a few spots. Mostly on the front cover(see photos) There is a clicker controlled by a slide button on the rear plate. It is in very good working condition. The handle appears to have ivory colored plastic knobs. On the handle side face cover it is marked" WINCHESTER. TRADE MARK. MADE IN U.S.A. 4256" It has jeweled bearing caps front and rear in excellent condition. I do not know how the reel functions because it looks like a candy apple red jet engine turbine, I am not familiar with it and do not want to mess with it. It is a left handed crank. This rod and reel are integrated to one another, the button to cast built into the rod handle. The rod has printed on it: 63 Uni-Spin- and on the top piece of the rod: 3'6' 1/2" By the way this is a two piece rod and the guides are in excellent shape. Up for auction a Very Nice and Seldom Offered CIRCA 1947-1950 LANGLEY NO.192-A DELUXE SINGLE ACTION FLY REEL WITH THE SCARCE ORIGINAL BOX. Fly reels from Langley don't seem to show up too often and I've never seen this particular model offered for sale. Built by the Langley Corp. of San Diego. CA, I believe this to be one of their earlier examples built sometime after WWII. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on the dates. Faceplate carries the early"LANGLEY San Diego, Calif. within a flying wing, while under the foot reads"Made In U.S.A. Patented" Reel has a spool diameter of 3-1/8" and is 1" wide. Constructed of aluminum and comes equipped with removeable spool, strong clicker in both directions and a machined metal grip. Reel is in Very Fine, lightly used condition. Displays quite nicely. Works perfectly ... moreand seems very smooth and balanced. Put up in the original box, which is correctly marked for the reel and also stamped"Patent Pending" It hasn't been near as lucky as the reel, showing overall staining and some paper loss, but it remains solid and complete. These boxes are seldom offered and should at least be considered somewhat scarce. Overall, a nice early combo from this maker. To be sold with a very modest starting bid and NO RESERVE. I'm not sure who made this reel. Bit it was branded for BASS. My guess would be Shakespeare, but I'm not sure. It doesn't have the gear ratio on it anywhere, but just from using it I would say it's 5.4:1 or something close. It does have a flipping switch, 5 ball bearings and a magnetic brake control. It's in very good condition. I've barely used it. It's just an extra reel not in the rotation right now, so I see no point in it collecting dust in the garage. Posted with
