And immigrated to Canada in 1910 where he worked as a silversmith at the Argus works of the Canadian Pacific Railway. In 1911 he moved Westward to Victoria BC where he spent several years trying to establish himself in the silversmith& jewellery repair business. The first PEETZ reel was likely produced in 1924 while he was still engaged in the jewellery business. But he soon realized his true calling in life& began to make the now famous PEETZ reel and established a business in Victoria. This first model was ... morestamped“The Pacific Reel” not marked Peetz. Many adaptations& modifications of this reel were made over the years. Including several sizes from 4” to 7” and also recorder models which measured the amount of line that pulled off the reel. This year I picked up about 30 reels. Which is down from the 150 last year, and will have them on Ebay at this time. This auction is for a used fishing reel. Most of them are modern with a few vintage reels mixed in. I'm going to be listing these reels on Ebay all at the same time which means that they'll all be ending about the same time as well. Please note that I don't do a ton of fishing.actually.I only fish about 1 or 2 times a year for trout with ultralight spinning outfit so my experience is only so-so on fishing reels. On the spinning reels- ... moreI checked the bail to make sure that it returns over with no problems and the anti-reverse feature. On bait casting reels I make sure that it cast and the level wind feature(if it has one) goes back and forth so that it winds the line evenly. The other features I don't have a means of testing like drag and any special features that a reel may have. All the reels appear to be in very condition to good and come as you see pictured. The details of the reel is found above. If you want to know what the FR# means in the title(ie: RR12)its the number that I gave it so that when it does sell- I'll be able to track it down easily.
