Sage XP 906/4 Dave Lewis Custom Fly Rod Used Excellent Condition
I am the original owner of this rod and have fished it several times. The handle shows some soiling and there is one tiny scratch in the paint on the male ferrule of the butt section. The scratch in no way weakens the rod and in fact you have to look closely to see it. It is a custom rod built by the late Dave Lewis. Upgraded reel seat hardware. Dave's impeccable epoxy work on the guides and wraps, and Mary Lu's careful inscription of the rod model, wt. and signature of the builder. It comes with a rod sock sewn by Mary Lu made of soft velour and an aluminum rod tube. The rod is a great rod for bigger flies-dries or nymphs and has landed it's fair share of trout. Vintage Chinese Mudman - Sage with Walking Stick - Early to mid 1900's - 5"
You are bidding on a vintage Chinese Mudman circa early to mid-1900's. This figurine is of a Sage with a walking stick. He is approximately 5 inches tall and glazed in various shades of green and blue. His face is exquisitely detailed. The condition of this item is good considering its age and the fact that he has had several owners and has been around the world. There appears to be a slight chip at the end of one of the strands of hair on the back of his head. There is also a crack in his beard and it looks like the beard may have broken off and been reattched. There is the usual roughness on the bottom and around the base. In 1935 Winfield Pottery moved to a larger Pasadena facility and designer Margaret Mears Gabriel joined the company. Square-shaped dinnerware. The first made in California. Was unveiled in 1937, as was the bamboo embelishments the company became known for. Leslie Sample died in 1939 and Gabriel and her husband took over operations of Winfield Pottery. They opened a new larger Pasadena plant in 1941 and added more dinnerware patterns. Following World War II the Gabriel's faced a huge backlog of orders. So licensed the"Winfield China" name to American Ceramic Products of Santa Monica. While marking their Pasadena production as"Gabriel Porcelain. Production of Winfield China remained high through the forties and early fifties. But after imported china reappeared on the market business slowed. The Pasadena plant was closed in 1962. Some dinnerware marked Winfield was still produced in Santa Monica until that plant closed in 1967.

Sage 7119-4 TCX Switch Rod w/ Sage 3810 CF Reel
This Listing is for a ready to fish Sage switch rod and reel. I fished this setup quite a bit and it does show some use. Everything is cosmetic and I tried to show it all in the photos. The rod is a 11'9" 7wt TCX and is in overall very good condition. It does have one chip out of the cork by the reel seat and a few scratches in the finish of the blank. The rod tube is also scratched and chipped from doing its job. The reel is a 3810CF which balances nicely with the rod. It too is in overall very good condition with only a few scratches on the bottom of the cage. Currently the reel has 100yds of 30lb Dacron backing and a 450gr Royal Wulff Ambush line. Also included are two shooting heads a 450gr Rio Steelhead Scandi. And a 475gr Rio Skagit Flight which would need a running line as the ambushes is integrated. Thanks for looking.

This is an authentic and rare. Whitefriars, sage, drunken bricklayer vase, d esigned by the late great Geoffrey Baxter. For his textured range, pattern number 9673. The original textured moulds were produced by Geoffrey Baxter. In his spare time, and were made from objects including bark and nails. The drunken bricklayer vases were made between 1966-1973. Sage is certainly one of the rarer and most sought-after of all the produced drunken bricklayer vases. This stunning sage drunken bricklayer vase is in superb condition. No chips, dinks, scratches, or restoration, does have some very tiny light surface scratches to the base, which could be polished out if required, but this is commensurate with it's 43 years of age, nothing unusual. In fact I'd be more concerned if it didn't have any bubbles, most genuine honest pieces of Whitefriars glass do have some tiny bubbles. The colour is a beautiful crystal clear deep sage as you can see from the photos. I've took a picture of the pontil to show it's authenticity. Also the dot formation and weight is another way of detecting authenticity, there are other ways as well, UV test. This vase even has its original Whitefriars paper label still on it! If you’re intending to purchase a piece of Whitefriars glass. Please be careful, because there are fakes about. These pieces of Whitefriars glass have become so very collectable and sought-after(hence the fakes) An antique that's appreciating in value. He was an avid fly angler/guide, as well as a Brig. Gen in the Air Force. He had some great gear and took great care of his stuff. So its in great shape. I sell a ton of rods through our fly shop, consignment and used equipment business, and eBay, I've sold hundreds of new and used rods(actually over 1000) and this one is a true Gem. Help me help Betty out and move this rod so we can get her some cash. This auction is for a SAGE RPLXi 896-3 8 weight 9 foot six inch 3 piece fly rod. SAGE factory sack and tube. The RPLXi is a rod that can be described as'sweet' and often is. It's fast. But not stiff. When you load the rod, you do not feel undue pressure on your forearm ... moreflexors(like stiff rods do) yet the taper knows when to stop giving and takes over. As the stroke progresses, the heart of the blank kicks in and as the load deepens in the blank it accelerates the line speed over the shoulder with great ease. You simply wait for the shock wave to extend the line, then with a crisp motion(timing is important with this rod) the forward stroke loads just as easy and accelerates even more sharply, shooting a tight loop with little effort albeit requiring good timing. As powerful as it is. It still fights fish with finesse. Just as in the casting motion, it gets tougher as the rod gets loaded more. Smaller fish sometimes feel like they are beating you up on this rod because they are not getting down to the butt section. I've found that bigger fish are tamed just as well as with any broomstick rod because you're fighting them with the powerful lower end. Rod got a thorough cleaning. Along with several others, and reels, into our Used equipment program, and am selling it for Betty Webb Moore, a customer of mine from SC whose husband is ill and is in a long term care facility. He has a good bit of fly fishing gear, all of it upper end stuff and in good condition. He can no longer use it so she has appointed us to sell his gear. You are looking at a SAGE GFL 890-2 fly rod. A 9 foot, 2 piece, 8 weight RPL series. This is a great rod, on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd say a solid 9 emphatically, its in great shape, well taken care of, no major nicks, scratches, dings, and reel seat doesn't look like its ever had a reel on it. Cork handle is very clean for a'used' rod, and having run/owned a fly shop I'd say in some respects its like new in that regard. But a great rod no doubt.
