Superb SHIMANO STELLA 16000F SPINNING REEL, in Great Condition w/ Box & Papers
Offered here for sale is a wonderful SHIMANO STELLA 16000F SPINNING REEL in very good condition. With its original box, papers, and spare drag kit. I purchased this reel brand new in 2000 for an obscene amount of money, and used it for exactly one season. After that, it was carefully put away, and has been in storage ever since. The new equivalent version of this reel in the store or online is in excess of $1,000; this one is a LOT LESS, and in really nice shape. There are two minor issues to mention with the reel. First, the dust cap(which looks like a screw) located at the end of the bail near the roller, is absent. This is pointed out in one of the photos, and is a cosmetic, not functional issue. Second, there is a small dent in one of the polished covers, also pointed out. Other than that, there are a few tiny scratches and blemishes, ... moreexpected from a season of use, but nothing major. The reel operates flawlessly, and is as smooth as any that you will ever hold in your hands; there's a reason these cost big bucks! The Stella 16000F is ideally suited for big game fish: school to medium tuna, shark, sailfish, tarpon, etc. It is currently loaded with braid- 65# Berkeley, if I recall correctly.
