Phil Simms Autograph 3" x 5" Index Card w Original Mailing Return Envelope
I recently purchased the largest mostly in person and through the mail autograph collection I have ever handled. This collection was put together over roughly a 20 year period of time(80's and 90's) by a gentleman named Clarence Wright. Clarence was an unpublished poet who quite often wrote poems and sent them along with his autograph requests through the mail. At the very least. He sent personal letters/notes along with each request which helped him score huge success in his quest for autographs. It was his hobby after he retired from his regular job. This massive collection numbers close to 2,000 signatures. There are a small number of autographs obtained through dealers around the Cincinnati, OH area and a lot were obtained in person at shows in this same area. Clarence passed away at age 87 in 2011 and his autograph collection ... morewas left to his grandson who sold the collection to me. I will be listing items from this collection over the coming weeks/months. As to authenticiy. Offered for sale is a nice used pair of Simms Gore-Tex bootfoots waders. The wader size is LARGE(as per label) and the boot size is 11 mens. These were found at a recent estate sale in my area- I have never used or worn them. The condition is very good used- there is light dirt and staining on the outside from previous use- the inside looks great. The boots have a LUG SOLE and the waders were found with both the wading belt and a Simms patch kit These are very expensive and my buy it now price is less than 1/3 of the retail price of a new pair similiar to these. Here is a pair of Simms fishing boots or"wading shoes. I probably used them about a half dozen times. Very good condition. Felt bottom on one boot is separating and could use a little waterproof adhesive. Other than that a this is a great pair of fishing boots in very good condition. Mt. St. Helens Salt& Pepper Shakers Unique& Rare Depicting Before and After the Eruption Approximately 150 Square Miles of Forest and anything living in it. Was Destroyed and Killed within Minutes when Mt St. Helens Erupted on May 18 th 1980 at 8:32 on a Sunday Morning. What followed the Volcanic Eruption that created an Earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale was Eastern Washington and beyond Covered in Dark Volcanic Ash. Some of this Ash is present in the Salt& Pepper Shakers that I am selling. I am not sure of the material used as it could be clay pottery and from the Ash itself on the outside. SIMMS-WATTS AP100 VALVE AMP HEAD, Mk.I, c.1970.
Simms-Watts Mk.I AP100 valve amp head. Dating from around 1970. Renowned for their full sound and power Simms-Watts amps have been used in recent years by bands such as the Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand. Bowie and Ronson also used these back in the'70s. Breakup is possible but at ear-splitting levels so these are particularly well suited for use as a clean platform with pedal boards or as a bass amp. This particular model has two channels, normal and brilliant, each with volume, treble and bass controls with a master volume. The difference between the Mk.I and Mk.II is that the latter had a master presence control added and some improvements in the quality of the wiring. This amp has been restored to its original condition having suffered some serious neglect over the years and some very dodgy repairs. I could show you some horrifying ... morepics of these"repairs" and you'd wonder how no-one was killed by them! A new Groove Tubes power transformer of similar(or better) spec than the original has been installed to replace the miniscule article that some dimwit put in as a replacement. The all important output transformer is the original ultra-linear type. The main board is turret-to-turret with Mullard mustard caps intact. The bias board has been rebuilt. The wiring tidied up to not-quite-Harry-Joyce standard(but better than the spaghetti it had previously) new smoothing caps installed along with a quartet of JJ EL34s and some Marshall preamp valves and the whole thing has recently been serviced. The cabinet has been restored and mostly recovered in the same style of rexine as originally used(The basketweave covering was used on later models. NOT the Mk.I) while retaining the original piping, handle and vent grille. The silver plexi control panel shows some distress from years of use with a small section missing from one end and the remains of a previous owners letraset name(Toad, if you're interested! There is no S-W name-plate at present but I am hoping to have a repro plexi panel in the near
