Vintage Crack 200 spin reel This spin reel was made in France in the 60s& 70s& wieghs 17.5oz. It will hold 225yds. of 15lb. test. It is in fairly good condition but shows paint wear and age. Heavy on the rotor cup and foot, and the knob looks repaired but works fine. It has a bronse colored metal body. Smooth drag, good anti-reverse, good bail and the gears are good. This reel has a 3.8/1 gear ratio and is a strong& good quality reel, it is a grade 7+/8+. It comes with an anodised spool in very good shape, and is essentually the same as a Luxor 3LA which it replaced. If you are not happy with an item. Returns are fine but the buyer pays shipping. The reels I sell are 98% used. And in between 20& 100 years old. Most are far from perfect, so I some times use the Orca grading system, the first no. is how it looks and the second ... morehow it works. A 5/5 would be for parts and a 10/10 would be new. Excellent Penn 7500SS with Extra Spool. I haven't used this reel for years. It was completely disassembled. Cleaned, and assembled with Cal's reel grease, CorrosionX, and Blue tripple guard marine grease. The screws. Handle, under the bearing retainer and rotor washer were assembled with Blue marine grease for better saltwater protection. The line roller was cleaned and oiled with CorrosionX. The spool has new HT-100 drag washers replacing the"brake lining" ones originally used. The extra spool is missing one metal drag washer and retaining clip and has one spot of corrosion. There is almost no finish wear. The only place I see is a tiny bit along the sharp edge of the heel(see pics) After cleaning. It will be near mint. The reel is marked Garcia Mitchell on the handle side& has a label saying'A Garcia Product. It says'Made in France' on the other side& has the serial#223590 on that side as well. Cosmetically it could use a drag nob. Crank, and the on/off anti-reverse switch is gone and the hole is glued over. The anti-reverse works. The Shakespeare Sigma 080 works.
