A one of a kind. Vintage crack model 200 spinning reel made in France in the early 50's. This reel looks like it has never touch saltwater, however there are very minor, easily cleanable, tarnishes. I had it grease and serviced one month ago but I decided to leave it up to the buyer to clean the already immaculate finish if they please. Everything about the action of the reel seems brand new. I cannot describe, in words, the amazingly fluid movement. I don't have the heart to use such a clean vintage reel in the ocean that surrounds the island I live on and it would just gather dust on the shelf. Nice Vintage Used Shakespeare Model 2200 II Spinning Reel
Up for auction is a nice used Shakespeare Model 2200 II spinning reel. This all metal reel was made in Japan and is so marked on the foot. It weighs in at 8.8 ounces. The retrieve ratio is not marked on the reel. But I would say it is just a hint over 5:1. The reel is in good condition. There is a little wear on a couple of spots on the spool housing. Please take a look at the enlarged photos, as they accurately depict the condition of this reel. Mechanically, the reel is in good working order. The action is smooth and the anti reverse and clicker work fine. The bail is strong. This auction is for a lot of 7 saltwater fishing reels. These belonged to my dad. There are 5 baitcasting reels and two spinning reels. The first is a Penn Delmar 285. The next is a Penn 85. Next is a Penn 79. The next is an Ocean City 981. There is a Penn Jigmaster 500. There is a Diawa 7700A spinning reel and a Ryobi SX4N spinning reel. All have been testing and work fine. These have not been used in years. I simply wiped them off with a wash cloth to remove dust. Dirt from storage. All have some corrosion on the inner spools that can easily be sanded off. This auction is for a Penn 720 Z. It appears to be in excellent shape. The bail flips. Clicker works, and it turns smoothly. It has a few marks that appear to be more from storage than from use as you can see in the picture. I have not cleaned or oiled the reel, I will let that up to the new owner. There is a slight mark on the inside of the reel seat. I thought it may have been where the sticker was, but I did try to clean it a little and it didn't come off. You can see it in one of the pictures. Otherwise. This is a great real. I'm starting to thin my collection down.
