VINTAGE FENWICK FS60 6 FT LIGHT SPINNING ROD 2 1/4 OZ 1/16-1/4 OZ
Fenwick Feralite rods are fiberglass rods that were produced in two separate generations: 1963-1971. 1972-1988. This one has the characteristics of the first generation but a label with a guy's name and a 1980 date is on it. These rods were the innovation of their day and are a true piece of rod design history. The Feralite patent(which was only pending when this rod was built further suggesting that it was from the first generation of rods) is for the point at which the two sections of the rod connect. The tip over butt ferrule design is now copied by virtually every two piece rod. The Rod tip guide and the eyes are all original. Fenwick Feralite rods owners are true believers in their equipment many still fishing these rods today. This individual rod is one of the very nicest vintage rods I have seen.
