I bought both items brand new in March and have fished them a total of FIVE TIMES! I paid $199.00 for the rod and $139.00 for the reel.They both are in like new condition, the rod does have one small scratch on it but it's very small and does not effect the rods integrity or action in any way, you can hardly notice it. The reel is the smaller version to be spooled with 6, 8, or 10lb test line, and it comes with the box and all warrenty info, so does the rod for that matter. I've known Gary all of my life and he is kind of a local legend around here, known for building quality custom rods for 30 plus years. He is no longer building them due to illness. Now on to the rod: The rod is built from a G-Loomis GL2 blank. It is a 2 piece rod. Overall length is 7'6" Line weight is 8-17 lbs. And lure weight is 1/4-5/8 oz. It features a Fuji DPS 18 reel seat with a cork handle and Fuji guides. I would consider it a medium heavy action rod. The rod is used, and shows signs of previous use. The rod itself has some scuffs and marks from normal use. None of the scuffs or marks effect the integrity of the rod. The guides are all in excellent condition. The core handle shows discoloring especially the upper section. There are a few sharp depressions ranging from 1/4" to 3/8" on the lower handle and the upper handle has a chunk missing 1/8"x3/8" as shown in photo(it may be the nature of the wood core.another words the handle is not perfect for the lower and upper portion. Vintage John Powell Zebco 2-piece spinning rod. Overall length is 6' 6" All line guides and tip are good and straight. Windings are fine. No loose ends. Reel seat good. *Rare* Vintage Spinning Rod Handle Champion Featherweight ?
This appears to be a Champion featherweight spinning rod handle that measures 12" long. It has beautiful gold colored hold downs that hold the reel in the real seat. The cork handle is very good. No chips. On the butt end there appears to be some very dim writting but I can't make it out. Where the rod goes, the screw on cap& finger are very good& are brown in color like a Champion but since I'm not positive, I'm selling it as unknown. It appears to have been used very little if any? ESTATE FIND You are looking at a Beautiful vintage Fenwick FS80 Spinning Rod. Complete with rod sock. Marked on the rod is Fenwick. M 207188, FS80 8' 7-1/2 OZ, 3/8-1 OZ. Lures, 8-20 lb. Line Made in USA. Rod is basically in excellent used condition. A light scratch at the tightening rings where the reel attaches. And if you look hard enough you got to find at least a couple of scratches somewhere. The cork has a few nicks here and there. see picture) Rod sock is in Dusty(not ripped) condition, not sure if this is the original sock, but will keep the pole safe. an old south bend fly rod. in pretty good condition for being as old as it is, far from perfect but still very fishable, its a 6'6" rod, i believe its a 4wt rod might be a 3wt? as i cant read the original sticker. all the guides are in great shape and the serving is in really nice shape as well, you will need to clean the ferrels with alcohol and q-tips as the sections stick a little bit,great back pack rod, i do my shipping on the weekends so please keep this in mind. i ship by usps priority mail. even if you win and pay on a monday it wont get shipped till saturday. i do my best to describe my items for sale. these are used so do expect perfection.
