Here for your consideration is a classic G. Loomis GL3 ultra-light two-piece spinning rod. Model SR-6010-2, in near perfect condition. The rod is 5' long when assembled. The ONLY signs of wear are some extremely minor rubbing on the reel foot hood. This little rod is rated for lines from 1-4 lb and lures from 1/32- 1/8 oz. The blank is the classic matte black with gloss black wraps and silver logo. It's the perfect rod for backpacking in to those high mountain brookie streams. It breaks down to 31" so it straps right up to your pack. Retail when I purchased it was $210, now they are $230. This rod was my constant partner on many backpack trips to my favorite brookie haven up in the High Uintas of Utah. It's absolutely the best ultralight rod I've ever used for throwing the smallest of spinners and has caught way too many ... morebrookies or cutthroats to count. Bretton 804 S Spinning Reel with Travel Pack Rod and Case. The Reel is in great working condition with a minimum of paint loss though there is a little that should be visible in photos. The reel does seem to be missing a medallion unfortunately photos will show where the medallion was mounted. A very nice Heddon 7244 Controlled Flex Spinning Rod. This is a 7' medium action rod and overall is in very nice condition. There is some paint loss on the black bottom reel seat lock(visible in photos) Factory markings on the rod are nice and clear. I would estimate that the rod dates from the 1960's. These old Heddons are very enjoyable to fish. As a bonus the rod will be shipped with a vintage blue and red Heddon rod tube. The tube is missing the rod sock and top lid. For sale is a very hard to find vintage Walton Powell spinning rod with its original rod sock and rod tube. Made by Walton Powell. The son of world famous rod maker E. C. Powell, this is a 2 piece glass rod, 6’ 6” in length. It is completely original with the Walton Powell signature and all original line guides and wrappings. The cork grip shows a little use and the reel seat has a small scratch on it. Please note that the rod tube has the number 588 on it as does the tip top piece of the rod. see photographs) Walton Powell was a world famous fly casting champion who continued the legacy of his Father’s business building rods that are considered to be some of the classics of his time.
