up for consideration is a proffessionally restored pre 1950 mitchell halfbail spinning reel. this was a good working reel but didn.T have much paint left on it and all the shiney parts weren,t shiney anymore. reel was dismantled, bead blasted, painted with a catalyst paint and all the shiney stuff replated. this reel looks better and works like new or better. if you are a collector or looking for something to fish with for the next 40 yrs here it is. you can,t buy one at walley world like this. i left the old line on the spool.Haven,t seen line like this in years, its a braided type of line and i,m sure its rotten. never saw a handle knob like this, it looks like the original except it has only three grooves in it. i believe some machinist has made this knob. i,ve worked on these old mitchells for 40 yrs and i,ve never seen a knob like this. ... moregot any questions feel free to ask. don,t cost nuttun. thanks for looking

Shimano FX-2803A medium action 8'0" graphite spinning rod. Line weight 10-17lb. Lure Weight 1/2- 1 3/4oz. Lightly used condition. Selling some fishing stuff. I just have too much if that is possible; really just selling what I don't use any more or haven't used in a few years. Check my other listings for more fishing gear. I only used this rod a couple times fishing from the jetty for rockfish and from the beach for surf perch. Graphite being lightweight made it nice for a full day of casting jigs. Some scratches from use but all guides are in good shape; even the paper and plastic sleeve are still on the handle of the rod. Shipping will be in a shipping tube. Up for auction is a nice little used Shakespeare Model 2052 Ultralight spinning reel. It was made in the United States and is so marked ont he foot. This all metal reel weighs in at 8.8 ounces. The retrieve ratio is not marked on the reel. But I would say it is about 4.5:1. The reel is in very good condition. There are two small spots loss of the maroon finish: one is on the gear housing away from the crank and the other is on the spool housing. Please take a look at the enlarged photos, as they accurately depict the condition of this reel. The reel is in good working order. The action is smooth and the anti reverse and clicker work fine. Vintage Collectible All Glass MONTAGUE Fiberglass 6 ft 2 pc Spinning Fishing Rod
Vintage Collectible All Glass Montague Fiberglass 6 ft Synthetic 2 pc Spinning Fishing Rod OK. So granpa has finally taken the time to clean out some old fishing gear I’ve had forever! Hard to believe but the fiberglass fishing rod was introduced over a half century ago, right after WWII. The notion that fiberglass would ever get“old” never entered anyone’s mind, especially mine. This begs the question, Are glass rods antiques? Well, what do we call a 1945 Evinrude? We call it an antique outboard. Antique or not. This classic glass rod is definitely collectible, especially as it is one of the earlier Montague all-glass rods. These rods were both aesthetically pleasing, as well as excellent casting rods. Some of the very best casting rods from the 1950s to 1960s era came from Montague… also known as the‘Great Glass’ decade. I do not know the ... moreexact age of this rod, but I am over 60 years old(won’t say how much) and I had this rod when I was a little boy. As shown in the photos, it has the original Montague decal just above the grip. Note some minor damage from use and age. See photos for condition, as it says more than I ever could. It also has its 3 original line guides and fishing pole tip. The pole is a beige color, but is dirty, so looks mottled. When cleaned up, it will look much better and not like it currently is. The cork is in good condition, with the exception of right where the cork meets the pole there is some minor chipping from age and use. The end of the pole looks good, with no rust on it or the screw holding it in place. Each piece is 37 inches long… 74 inches when combined. Of course it slips into each other, so I guess that’s make it a 6 ft. pole. The reel holder rings are likely steel and in good shape. Was probably sold as a potential combination and it was actually used by me as both a spinning rod and a fly rod(worked well in tight places on a stream with lots of brush) but it’s really more of a spinning rod with a workable delivery system. This rod is in good shape for its age.
