There is a small spot where there are a couple small scratches on the clear coat. That's it. This rod retails for $390. It is St Croix's premier line of salt water rods. The model number of this rod is LSWC70MF-WC. The blank employs St Croix's IPC and ART technology. The graphite is SCII with NSI Resin. More technology used in this series of blanks than any ever made by this fine rod maker. There are nine guides on the blank. The reel seat is an Alps aluminum component as is the gimbal. The guides are double wrapped in dark blue with light blue and silver accents. This rod is excellent for any inshore application. I used it for stripers, blackfish and sea bass. Vintage St Croix Magna Flex Combination Rod with Case and tags.
What could be the pride of any collection. Up for auction this week is this Combination fly. Baitcasting, and spinning rod made by St Croix. It has its original tags and plastic covering the cork spinning handle. The metal hardware is gold plated. It measures 7 ft assembled with a spinning setup, or 6' 4" as a baitcaster. It has 5 total parts to it. It is made out of fiberglass with a Urethane core. The bag measures 8" x 24" It does have condition issues. The plastic on the spinning/fly handle has a rip on it. The gold plating is flaking on the spinning handle on the forward metal piece and the rear piece on spinning clamp. There is also major flaking on the piece that clamps the rod on the baitcasting piece. The bag is in great shape and the zipper is still all intact. Shipping. I ship as soon as I receive payment. Vintage St Croix 7 1/2' 2-Pc Fly Rod
This offering is for a vintage St Croix 7 1/2' fly rod that shows a little wear but is in pretty darn good overall condition. The decal has a scratch on it and the tip top has been replaced with a regular fishing rod top rather than a fly rod tip but the tip section is very close to the same length as the butt section so if there was any loss of tip it was minute at the very most. It appears the tip was just replaced. The handle is in very good condition overall but there is two very small blems in the handle that looks like a hook was stuck in the cork and a resulting hole about the size of half of a BB. Not much but is there so is described. Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to describe. Additional pictures are available so just email if needed. Rod is is perfect mechanical condition and very good cosmetic condition(see attached pics) There are some scratches in the clear coat from hook wear. But nothing in the blank, and the front cork grip is a bit squeaky(quick fix with a syringe and epoxy if it bothers you) There is a bit of black finish missing on the guides. All in all, what you would expect from a couple of seasons of use. These rods are the best in the business and retails for $180, so save here on one that is fish tested!
