But no, you're not dreaming! After you pinch yourself, take a look at this set of three high quality vintage spinning fiberglass fishing rods. These are freshwater spinning rods that have NEVER HIT WATER. One of them is a St. Croix- the creme de la creme. Ladies and gentlemen. Made of"double power fiberglass" according to the tags. It still has not only the original paper tag attached with string, but it also has some plastic wrapping emblazoned with St. Croix around the handle. There are 5 eyes altogether; 1 on the bottom half, 4 on the top half. Next up we have another breathtaking beauty in the shape of the"Green Hornet" ... moreby Wright& McGill. And again, oh boy- there's a plastic wrapping with a paper label on it. It says"Wright& McGill Green Hornet No GHF" which is a model from the 1950's. Five eyes altogether, one on the bottom half and four on the top half. This thing looks excellent, it's in great condition. Last but not least, there's the Dynaspin True Temper rod. This has its original paper tag and the condition is just as gorgeous as the others- these were kept as collectibles. One eye on the bottom half and four on the top half. The logo emblem also says"725 M" The St. Croix has some slight white discoloration on the very end of the handle. The metal parts have some very. Very slight discoloration although I wouldn't say they're oxidized. The paper tag is a little discolored/wrinkled. Really that's the only complaints I can make, and those are hardly complaints considering it's amazing she has her tags. The Green Hornet is similar, the little plastic wrapper at the handle is split and there is just the slightest discolorations on the metal pieces such as the eyes. The St. Croix logo right above the handle has been scratched off at the factory, which is done to signify that the warranty is no longer valid. The rod is still extremely light and sensitive. Vintage St. Croix Double Power Spinning Fishing Rod 2 piece.
Up this week is this older St. Croix spinning rod. It measures 6"6' long. The label is calling it a"Double Power" It features a musky jumping logo on the foregrip and steel line guides and rod tip. As well as cork handles. It collapses into 2 pieces. Made in Park Falls. Wisconsin. It is showing it's age. The cork forgrip is faded. The labels are a little worn. The reel clamp is still functional The guides and tip are in good shape. So is the string that attaches them. Overall good condition. See pictures to get a better idea as to the condition. HUGE LOT OF ST. CROIX CASTING RODS! COMPONENTS GALORE! Up for auction is a huge lot of St. Croix casting rods purchased directly from the St. Croix factory in Park Falls. WI. These rods were all turned into St. Croix for warranty and are all broken to some degree. This is a large lot with lots of high end components. Lots of Fuji guides and reel seats, Batson guides, and enough cork and complete handles to keep you busy for months. There are even a few rods with the wicked expensive Recoil guides on them. While going through the lot I found upwards of half a dozen rods that can be made into functioning rods with just a tip top, or maybe a little additional work. St. Croix sells these re-tip rods at the factory for $30 a crack, so that's over $180 right there! Not to mention all the guides, reel seats, cork, and graphite that can be harvested ... morefor new rods and repairs. This will be a very valuable lot for the avid rod builder. Bidding starts at $19.95 with no reserve. Shipping is $60 with Fed-Ex Home Delivery. So no business addresses. The box is 89" X 12" X 7" and it is full of rods. THE BLANK HAS A COULPE OF VERY LIGHT SCRATCHES BUT NOTHING OF ANY SIGNIFICANCE. THE GUIDES LOOK LIKE NEW WITH OUT A SCRATCH OR MARK. THE TIP IS THE ORIGINAL. NO GUIDES HAVE BEEN REPLACED. St. Croix fishing rod pole Vintage 5' 6" bait casting- good condition for it's age all eyelets and threads are fully in tack. The handle is in real nice condition. The St. Croix lable- decal- is about 1/2 wore off as the third photo shows. It's Med Heavy action as best as I can tell.
