(2) Vintage St. Croix Collapsible Fishing Rods/Reels W/Cases (Fishing Machine)
You are bidding on two Vintage St. Croix Collapsible Fishing Rods And Reels With Cases(Fishing Machine) On one of the rods and reels the push button stays in the cast release position and thus when reeling. The head won’t turn to retrieve the line. The drag knob adjusts fine and the handle turns freely, it just won’t retrieve as it won’t come out of the cast release position. On top of the reel is a range finder with an"on" and"off" settings slide. It seems to operate but I am unsure of its purpose. The other fishing machine seems to work almost properly, but I feel needs some cleaning and lubrication. Although the cast release button works, it seems to slowly migrate back to the retrieve position before cranking the handle. The reeling mechanism works fine, but you have to have the drag adjusted pretty tight to have the ... morehead turn and retrieve the line. This is why I feel it needs some cleaning and lubrication. Also, the range finder switch on this machine is stuck in the on position and will not move freely like on the other machine. Both machines are in decent appearance with some scratches and rubs to the silver finish at the base of the rod, but nothing out of the ordinary for rods of this vintage. The expandable rods on both machines work great and the guides are in very nice condition. Please see pics as they are part of the description. Please email me if you have any questions.
