St. Croix 1702 Pro-Graphite Fly Fishing Rod with flannel slip and case VGC
Up for sale is an American made St. Croix 1702-5/6-9 fly fishing rod in excellent condition. It's almost new. Save for some mild wear on the butt of rod, and reel seat. The rod, reel seat threads& clips, and eyelets are all in very good condition. The cork handle has some evidence of use and is a little discolored from a little bit of dirt. But is otherwise very sound. There are cosmetic scuffs on the heavy duty plastic case. But nothing to indicate it's ever seen any abuse. The Harding flannel slip is in almost new shape. Total rod length is 9 feet. And the line weight is 5/6. This rod will ship very well packaged with the heavy plastic case in a second PVC tube which will be boxed. I'm eating the shipping and handling on this(which will be about $15) Feel free to make an offer.

Auction is for a 3-weight St. Croix Avid 6'6" 4 piece fly rod. Very nice little rod in excellent condition. Comes with hard tube case and wax. Also comes with an Okuma SLV 2/3 reel with floating line in decent shape. Reel has some small scuffs on the back but overall in good shape. This rod was perfect for me in smaller streams and especially during the summer in low water which I don't fish too often anymore. Vintage St Croix fishing rod, Model 8100, w/ ORIGINAL CONTAINER
St Croix spinning rod. From late 1950's/ early 1960's Two piece fiberglass rod. 6 1/2 feet long. I would consider this a medium action rod, but not at all like fishing with today's modern tackle. Fiberglass rods flex more easily, to me this allows the fish more freedom to fight. Hooksets are a bit different also, not as rock solid as with a stiffer rod. Rod is in remarkably good shape. Guides are original and have not been broken or bent. Cork handle had darkened from use, but all cork is original and intact. Decal on rod identifies this as a"Genuine Double Power Fiberglas Rod" also has model number(8100) and rod length( 6 1/2' as well as"St Croix Corporation, Park Falls, Wisconsin" The decal itself is not chipped or scratched. The ferrule is metal and undamaged, with just a little wear. The rod comes with ... moreits original shipping container. The tube is 41 1/2 inches in length. 2 1/2 inch diameter with metal ends and a screw-on cap. It is structurally sound and fully functional. About 20% of the black finish has worn away including most of the label. About the only thing left of the label is the"x" in St Croix, a few letters of the word"Wisconsin" and most of the model number-but there's enough there to validate that it belongs to the rod. I fished this rod. Paired up with a Mitchell 300, for a few seasons before retiring it in the late 1970's in favor of something more up to date(an ultra light"Ugly Stick" it was) but over those seasons, it caught more than its share of smallmouth bass as well as the occasional trout, pickerel, sunfish, or largemouth here in our waters of south-central Pennsylvania. I would be comfortable picking up this rod and fishing it again.

The first on top is the 7,0" m/h fast action spinnerbait model, the second is the 6,6" m/h fast action jig and worm model and the third one is the 6,6"medium fast action jerkbait model.Like you could see on the last picture, the hook keeper have been remove on each rods simply because the st-croix hook keeper simply always caught the line so i remove them and apply u-40 perma gloss urethane finish made especially for fishing rods only at the keeper location.
