The wrapping is loose on one of the guides. There is some pitting on the guides but nothing serious. The cork handle is in very good condition and the reel seat is excellent& the decal is in fine condition as well. The tightening bands on the reel seat move freely. The two piece ferrule sections join smoothly. The butt on the cork does not show wear. I believe this rod is from the 1950’s. Features: 10’ 6” spinning rod. Metal Silaflex rod seat. Great Find. You are bidding on a 9 foot 9 inch bamboo surf rod. It has the Montague Fishkill logo on the bamboo rod part. Take notice of the photos I took, It has a double eye towards the top of the rod, and the bamboo rod has an octagon shape. The eyes are all intact with one at the tip and a double eye below the tip. The bottom of the pole shaft is in nice shape as well as the handle too. The shipping charges I will try my best on but I will carefully pack this and make sure it arrives in the same condition I have. This pole would make a great collectors piece or take some history out on the surf and use it for fishing. I've broken many poles on the surf but this one would probably reel in a big keeper. Fenwick Surf Casting experimenta rod - Once in a lifetime find for collectors
Overall in good condition with some minor blemishes but the rubber grips are in very good condition. The guides are in very good condition. Back in the 70's I had a friend that worked for Fenwick in Westminster. CA. where the made all of their fishing rods except for the Blackhawk line. Every month they would make experimental blanks at their Bainbridge Island plant and sent them to Westminster where they would make 5 of them and run them through torture test and stress test. Rod's not used up in the test before production got destroyed as they did not want them out in the general public. My friend was able to get one of these rods and gave it to me but it has sat in the garage for 30 years and never been used. If you are a collector of Fenwick or any fishing rods. Getting your hands on an experimental or prototype rod is the top ... moreof your game. Rod is a 10' Fiberglass, nylon guides and it overall good to very good condition for it's age. I would take it fishing tomorrow is I wanted to. This is a once in a lifetime chance to own piece of history of what once was one of if not the greatest fishing rod manufactured in the world before then closed shop here in the USA and moved off shore for manufacturing.

Up for bid is a used vintage Garcia Conolon spinning rod. Model# 2552T. It's a 2 pc. Rod, medium action, 8 1/2' long, fast taper, 5/8 oz. 2 1/2 oz. lure weight, handles 10- 20 lb. test line. Tungsten Tip-Top Carbide and the garcia rod spec. decals are there as seen in the pics. Also, the line guides are intact except for the first one from the reel seat. It is a little loose.
