I found this at an estate sale and just want to pass it along to someone out there in Ebayland who wants a great deal. The vintage Garcia Conolon medium action fast taper 10' 2 piece rod is a beauty. No issues with either the eyelets or the wraps guaranteed. The boat rash is seen in the last picture. The cork grip is good and the largest eyelet is 2" tapering down to the tip eyelet. The model number is sort of scrapped off so i will leave the number up to you to decide. Still a great old school rod and ready to fish. Not happy then send it back for a full refund. St Croix Surf Casting SC-66H 6ft 4in Baitcasting Fishing Rod
Up for auction this week is this St Croix surf casting fishing rod. The handle is just about gone. There is a pretty good bite missing out of the rear handle and half of the forward is gone. The rod says that it measures 6ft 6in it actually measures 6ft 4 3/4 inches. It must have lost the original tip at some point. The guide at the end does not match the rest of the guides. All of the guides are there and firmly attached. The reel seat is all there. There are also cuts and scrapes throughout the blank. The shipping quote reflects material. Handling and shipping via UPS. Pole looks to be in great condition. I dont know the test weight but by the way its setup id say its at lest 50-100lb. But again i dont have a way to confirm it. The Reel is a Penn 113H Special senator 4/0 with a gold Tiburon Frame. Really a beuatiful pole and reel. i didnt clean it up for the photos so you should be able to shine it right back up. All FIVE guides are present and in excellent condition. The stripping guide extends& retracts properly and the wraps are all intact and tight and there are no cracks or splits in the three-piece foam grip! About the only thing I would do, since they are in such nice shape presently, is add some new rod finish to the wraps for extra protection. Vintage Lamiglass 11 1/2' custom surf rod and Vintage Crack 300 Reel
Rod and Reel At auction is a matched Lamiglass custom 11 1/2’ surf rod with a very rare vintage Crack 300 reel with manual pickup bail. I bought the custom rod locally and the reel from Johnny’s Tackle shop in Montauk in the early 70’s and used them at Montauk Point to fish for striped bass for several years. I moved a few years later and both the rod and reel were put in storage. The one-piece rod is in good shape. Cork grip and all the ferrules are intact. Similar vintage Lamiglass rods have sold on eBay for $100 and up. The reel is a classic French made. Stainless steel and shows minor wear and tear. It still functions perfectly and smoothly as it was well lubricated. It has a solid drag, a rare manual pickup, which I found more sensitive than a standard bail and a sharp anti-reverse clicker. The reel is loaded with Ande 15 pound mono-film ... moreline and there is a spare spool that allows you to quickly change to a different test line. It includes the original box and instructions and is truly an exceptional collector’s piece that you can still use to fish with. One similar Crack reel alone recently sold on eBay for $203. I would like to sell them as a complete set and have you pick them up in Norwalk CT rather than try to ship. As the rod at 11 1/2' is considered oversize and is too costly to ship.
