Almost perfect vintage surf rod; Garcia Conolon model 2165T 91/2 ft. Fast Taper medium action. 2 pcs. beautiful fishing rod,and I don't like fishing. Cork grip for comfort, extra large rear grip for that really long cast. This is a unique rod in the collection I received, there are 10+fly rods-6-8 spinners,mostly with zepco reels, but this is the only ocean rod in the lot. My guess is he got an invitation to go/stay at the shore, either business or personal, he couldn't say no to. I'm sure they plan to go fishing and he went& bought this rod. Knowing my family he got a deal on the rod. because the factory messed up the Garcia sticker(maybe gave him a used case/sock too) They all love scratch&dent stuff,you can get top quality but pay less" is are motto some times. Anyway sorry.CONDITION; the only blemish I could find ... moreis where the two pieces fit together(so when the rods in one piece you don't see it) also the tip is discolored, it doesn't look like the other eyelets. I bought this rod here on ebay last year and only was able to use it on one or two trips. Rod is strong sensitive and lightweight. I had it paired with a Stradic 5000 and it was perfect for slot reds. Pomps whiting even a large stingray. This rod was one that was made from an unbroken top and unbroken bottom from 2 different rods. I included pics of all the guides and a small knick in the cork above the reel seat.

Very very light oxidation, only thing is where it connect to the 2piece some of the wrap unraveled. I stopped it before it got bad(seen in last picture) well kept for a 20yr old rod. The PS 120 is in Excellent Condition Free of the slightest amount of Rust or Corrosion which IS Rare on these Salt Water Surf Casting Rods. The PS 120 measures 366CM or 12' and wears a full train of Medium Bridge Chrome Guides with a Huge Stripping Guide needed for throwing long lines with heavy weight. The PS 120's though all the same size. Some had a little different weight data, this one will throw 3 to 7 ounces- plenty of weight to get you over the Biggest Surf where the Salmon and Strip Bass run. The EVA Foam grips are in Excellent Condition, still soft and not cracking.
